Who has been looking for mods with long-lasting pods with terrific flavor? Stop looking because here it is: the Suorin Shine. There are many pod mods out there and even more reviews about them. After a while, they become dull reading, but the superior pods and their flavor make them well worth reviewing. Additionally, they have several features that make it stand out from a very crowded market.

Suorin Shine Review for 2022

suorin shine review

This is a pretty good pod mod with many things going for it. Its main advantages are coil longevity, decent battery life, excellent flavor production, and many other pros. There are some slight build quality and design issues with the pod and connection, but it is a quality device overall.

Vapor Production

Products like these are not for vapor production, so do not expect to puff huge clouds. People who want a vape that produces a lot of vapor should buy a pod or box mod that uses low resistance sub-ohm coils. They should also consider buying vapes compatible with rebuildable atomizers.

Power Modes

There are no power modes on this vape, but users can vape with the firing button or use the draw-activated option.

Building and Design Quality

No criticisms here. The build quality is solid and feels very sturdy. It should handle the occasional drop or knock without any problems. Additionally, it has an ergonomic form that makes it comfortable to hold and convenient to transport.

However, the pod and vape connection are a bit loose, but it will not fall out by accident. Another problem is that the firing button is not all that responsive because it does not switch off when pressed and instead fires.

Battery

The Shine vape has an onboard 700 mah battery. Some may think this battery is not powerful enough but keep in mind that it is a 13 watt device, and there is not much demand on the battery. So on average, it should last a day, give or take a few hours.

The only thing is that the battery lasts longer when draw-activated because it does not put out the full wattage in that mode. However, when button activated, it vapes the full 13 watts. So expect less vaping time when clicking the firing button.

What everyone will like is how fast it charges. It usually takes 30 to 40 minutes to charge, depending on how much power is left in the battery. Even better is that users can vape while it is charging.

Light Indicators

Near the bottom is an LED light that shows the battery’s status.

When the light is green, the battery is at 70 percent, blue between 70 and 30, and red less than 30. It will also flash red when turned off and green when turned on.

Suorin Shine Pods

The pods have very typical features and specifications, but there are two cons besides the loose connection mentioned earlier.

They have 2 ml of nicotine liquid capacity, and the mouthpiece has a slight curvature to fit the lips more or less comfortably. There is also a side-fill port with a silicone covering that can be twisted out. Finally, the pod is magnetically connected to the vape.

As for airflow, it is fantastic. It is very smooth and at just the right setting for a perfect mouth-to-lung hit for every drag.

Besides the wiggly connection, the pod leaks, and the mouthpiece is too wide. The leaking is not that big of a deal, but it occasionally happens, so users have to watch the connection. As for the mouthpiece, it is a bit too wide for comfort. Suorin should taper it down a bit if they come out with a new model.

Coils

The pod uses a 1.0 ohm coil, which is very high in the flavor department. It really brings the flavor out of the juice, and there is no weak or watered-down taste. Also, the vapor is quite warm for a 13 watt coil, which was a pleasant surprise and maybe the reason the flavor is better than average.

Compatible Juices

The pod is fully compatible with salt nicotine liquids.

How Long Do the Coils Last?

This coil can last a long time if properly wicked and primed. So far, one pod lasted two weeks and counting. It can probably go for a few more days. The longevity of these pods is one of the top advantages of buying these vapes.

How to Use the Suorin Shine Vape

These vapes are very easy to use. Just follow the steps below:

  • Unbox the package and open the side fill port on the pod.
  • Refill using the juice bottle nozzle or syringe. Syringes are preferred because they are less likely to make a mess.
  • Replace the silicone covering and allow the pod five to ten minutes to absorb the liquid.
  • Click the firing button five times to turn it on or off, or inhale to turn it on.

Competing Products

Suorin Shine vs Uwell Caliburn G2 Kit

Uwell Caliburn G2 Review

The Caliburn G2 is a good device with the advantages of having two different coils and more wattage output (18 watts). However, its battery is not much larger than the Shine’s, so expect less vaping time between charge cycles. Also, it is more expensive than the Shine.

Suorin Shine vs Smok Novo 4 Kit

Smok Novo 4 Review

The Smok Novo 4 also compares very well with the Shine. It has higher wattage output, and it comes with two pods. However, it does not have a much larger battery, so it does not last as long.

Also, even though it comes with two pods, they both come with two 0.8 ohm LP1 coils. But, it does have a screen, replaceable coils, and adjustable airflow. Those extra features make it an overall better vape.

Final Thoughts About This New Kit from Suorin

Arguably, the best thing about these vapes is the flavor and longevity of the pods. Anyone who has been looking for a device with long-lasting pods that give off flavorful hits time after time will like this new product from Suourin. Also, it is easy to use the way a pod mod should be.

But, there are a few cons. First, the mouthpiece is too big. Secondly, there are those issues with the firing button not turning off the battery. Finally, it leaks occasionally. But, the biggest con out of that group is the finicky firing button.

The wiggling pod is not worth mentioning because the connection is very solid. Besides, many pod mods wiggle a little bit. But, if Suorin worked those other issues out, this pod mod would get an A+. Unfortunately, this is in the A- to B+ range.
