RTA stands for rebuildable tank atomizer. They are different from RBAs and RDAs because RTAs have a glass tank section like sub-ohm tanks. RBAs and RDAs use juice wells, or users drip their e-juice onto the exposed coils. RTAs feature many interchangeable parts that vapers can customize. They can replace drip tips, use tank extenders for more e-juice capacity, and build their own coils.
A selection of small reviews for the best RTA vaporizers currently on the market. Information on features and what they offer is included.

What mainly sets the Kylin M apart from the popular Kylin is that it is mesh-based. Another difference is its trapezoidal airflow that looks like honeycomb holes which is located at the RTA’s top. The Kylin M comes with two coil options, a 0.2ohm one that vapes at 40 to 60 watts and a 0.15ohm one that vapes at 50 to 70 watts. The Kylin M’s fill ports are quite deep, and the tank has a 3mL e-liquid capacity when using the straight glass and a 4.5mL e-liquid capacity when using the bubble glass. Featuring a spring-mounted, ceramic design, the deck is pretty forthright. Its wicking channels, although a bit shallow, are wide enough to fit quite a lot of cotton. The wicking ports, on the other hand, are shaped like an oval and are big enough for good wicking.
Rebuildable tank atomzier, rebuildable dripping atomizer
Great flavor production
Excellent cloud production
Works well in all modes
Easy to transition between all the modes
The Uwell Fancier RTA and RDA is a multiple-use atomizer with a Velocity-style build deck. The Fancier measures 24mm in diameter (0.94 inches) and it has an e-juice capacity of around 4ml. The unit features a stainless steel build and a Pyrex glass tank section for use as an RDTA.
The top glass section is removable, so the Fancier can also function as a regular RDA, as well as a squonk, as the kit includes a BF 510 pin. The Fancier uses a bottom-airflow setup, with two vents on either side that use a stopper.
The Velocity-post build deck is gold-plated and users can secure their leads via the two side-screws on either side. Inside the build deck, two large air-vents provide the airflow to pass directly onto the coil build.
You won’t experience any leaking, gurgling, or turbulence with this RTA
The adjustable ring is easy to adjust, tight enough, and stops on the turn
Wicking is very fast when built properly and when the wicks are cut at an angle
The mesh strips instantly fire
It eats up a lot of juice
Taking long hits back to back will get you an almost-dry hit
Juice ports are on the narrow side
The Wotofo Profile Unity is a product of a collaboration between Wotofo, The Vapor Chronicles (TVC), and MrJustRight1. The Profile Unity’s next level triple-density mesh coil comes powered by the nexMesh OFRF – helping it deliver a unique flavor experience to its users. This RTA comes with two glass tubes, one with an e-liquid capacity of 3.5mL and the other with an e-liquid capacity of 5mL. Featuring a spring-loaded ceramic cotton, the contact between the cotton and the coil is well-supported. A leak-proof connection and a fast e-liquid filling process is ensured, thanks to its grooved top cap. The Profile Unity’s build deck comes with wick ports, and has juice feeds from above and below. Also, the build deck is a clamp-style one – designed to be used with just a single strip of mesh. This RTA features two sets of 5 airflow holes that measure 1.5mm.
The Vandy Vape is back with an updated classic, Kylin V2 RTA built from glass and stainless steel unit that works with single and dual-coil builds. The tank section is glass, and vapers have the option of increasing the e-juice capacity to 6ml from 3ml. There is a chimney extender included in the kit.
The 24K gold-plated build deck of the Kylin V2 is a drop-down style, so there are no posts. The deck is U-shaped, so vapers insert their leads into the wide, quad-slots.
They then secure them with the gold-plated, side-screws – two on each side. The atomizer has a standard, gold-plated 510-connection. The full kit includes two drip tips, one Delrin and a Resin mouthpiece.
The base of the RTA measures 24mm in diameter (0.9 inches), and it comes with a 17.5mm (0.68 inches) Delrin drip tip. The kit includes a 510 drip tip adapter. Airflow options are both on the base and side of the device.
4.5ml with Standard Glass Tank, 6ml with Bubble Glass Tank
Includes a user manual for easy reconstructing
Comes in many fun colors to suit every vaper
810 Marbled Resin Drip Tip
Bubble glass is not included
The Wotofo is truly the first of its kind thanks to its clamp-post design, which is awesome for flat wire builds and forward and reversed wrapped coils. The desk has 4 posts and 2 mm terminal slots. It comes with a pre-installed 4.5 mL bubble tank, which is already insanely large.
However, the Bravo comes with a bubble expander that can turn this 4.5 mL to a whopping 6 mL! Imagine how little users need to refill, and how juicy and enticing this 6 mL tank looks when filled and ready for vaporization. It comes in 6 colors: blue, black, rainbow, gold, silver, and gunmetal. It has a 510 drip tip adapter.
A purchase of this unit also comes with many extras, such as a bag of Japanese cotton and extra screws and o-rings.
Vaping on it is really comfortable as the drip tip is rounded, smooth, and short
Is a beast when it comes to flavor and vapor production
The draw still is a bit restricted even with the airflow holes fully open
The post-less build deck allows for both single coil and dual coil builds
There is absolutely no leaking if wicking is nicely done
Building on it might be a bit of a challenge especially for beginners
The glass has a tendency to spin around even when tightened
A collaboration between Dovpo and Sam Parsons who is also known as Vaping Bogan, the Blotto features a multitude of small, little holes and ramps on both sides – resulting to an airflow (set at over 242 degrees) that comes from everywhere. The Blotto has a pretty simple and straightforward deck that can take both a single coil and dual coil build. You also get to choose between three tube options as it comes with a 2mL TPD straight glass tube, a 6mL glass bubble tube, and a 6mL ULTEM bubble tube. The tank’s color matches that of the drip tip with the tip having a small frosted portion. Taking off the top cap will reveal two large kidney ports which make filling the tank a breeze.
Both coil setup and wicking are easy as there is lot of room in the deck to fit the supplied coils
With two accessible fill ports, refilling is made super easy
The PC and Delrin drip tips are heat-resistant and stay nice and cool
There is no spit-back or leaks
Machining is very well done
It consumes quite a lot of juice
The e-liquid capacity could be bigger
A single coil RTA with a 2.3mL e-liquid capacity, the OFRF Gear features a top-fill system and bottom adjustable airflow. The bottom adjustable airflow, when combined with the RTA’s ultra-short air passage design and domed chamber, delivers dense vapor and amazing flavor. The glass can be detached from the top of the tank as the deck unscrews at the base. Four flat-head screws are held by the deck. The coils included in the kit have legs that go in the same direction, which needs a little bit of screwing so as to get them to opposite ends. Both the 510 wide bore PC drip tip and the 510 regular bore Delrin drip tip look stylish and are comfortable on the lips as they sit perfectly with their curved edges.
Is excellently built and designed with a unique look
Can be filled without having to remove its sleeve; e-liquid level is also clearly seen
Good vapor production and flavor is on point
Because the drip tip slightly extends inside the RTA’s domed area, spit-back is reduced
Coil mounting is a breeze as it has the traditional velocity-style post system
Refilling it through the side fill ports takes some time
Wicking could be a hit or miss
Is very tall and might not be for everyone
Designed by the German 103 Team, the Vapefly Brunhilde’s main feature is its innovative airflow system that surrounds the top cap. The airflow is adjusted by making use of the small internal metal piece that rotates with the top cap. The Brunhilde can be used with either the TPD tank with a 2mL e-liquid capacity or the standard tank with an 8mL e-liquid capacity. This RTA has a high-quality SS hollow construction and adopts four SS wires sourced from Germany that features a continuous and automatic e-liquid refilling system. The Brunhilde’s build deck easily supports a dual coil setup, with the coils lining up on the same horizon with the build deck. It has a side-fill system. This RTA’s juice well is really deep – providing a lot of room for soaking up e-liquid into excess wick from the tank section.
They are pretty much like a sub-ohm tank but usually have RBA decks. RTAs don’t come with built-in coils, and thus offer a lot more options for customizing your vaping experience. They have everything from build decks to wicking materials, to coil configuration. You can flirt with so many different things and their combinations, that even the sky isn’t the limit.
Let’s move to the next question, which one is the very best RTA available on the market? Well, there are no silver bullets. One of the RTAs might be ideal for one vaper, but might be a total disaster for another. Therefore, we have compiled a list of the very best RTAs, one of them will fit your bill. With an array of materials, there are types of RTAs that will suit every taste and budget. From Delrin drip tips to glass tanks, the different materials are what sets each brand and model RTA apart.

My way of understanding the significance of vaping came not only through the disruption of smoking but its effects on society as a whole. Now I bring people to vaping and bring vaping to people. I love using new gear, writing in-depth reviews and generally nerding out about vaping to like-minded people.
