The Best THC Vape Pens of 2022: An Introduction

THC oil vape pens are generally small, simple, and portable. THC liquid extract can fit anywhere, so cannabis oil vaporizers do not have to be as large as dry herb devices. In addition, the batteries for these units can have variable voltage settings or preset levels. Finally, the vapers can choose from with the click of a button.

LEDs are also common features. They either signal the device is operational, or they show cell life. LED lights also show at what level the unit is working for the units with different power settings. Charging the batteries for these devices is through a USB cable, as they all have USB charging ports or use their proprietary port or cable.

A Portable, Variable Voltage Concentrates Pen

10/10 icon-question Review score

The Sol E-Nectar comes with two different atomizer types. Quartz and a ceramic heating element work quickly to heat any liquid or solid concentrate. Sol also includes a protective top cap to remove dust and dirt. The battery features three color-coded voltage settings for maximum versatility.

#2 PAX Era PRO

POD SYSTEM For VAPING THC CONCENTRATES

8.5/10 icon-question Review score

Era Pro is a great choice for users who like to vape oil extracts. The Pax Era Pro works only with pre-filled cartridges. The device has the biggest run time (70 – 80 sessions/250 puffs) over other Pax vapes. So it’s great for users who spend much time vaping without charging.

One of the greatest benefits is controlling your Era Pro by Bluetooth. You can use it to download updates, lock the pen if it gets stolen, adjust the indicator colors, and set the temperature. Settings can be changed by hand motions with a specific LED to indicate what is set. You can change the temperature setting without the app, like on Pax ERA.

1-degree increments can adjust the temperature to align the ideal settings to vape the oil. In addition, users can play some simple games on the Pax Era PRO to make vaping even more fun. But, of course, how it vapes is the most important factor, and it vapes above your expectations.

What is a THC Vape Pen?

A THC vape pen is a compact, portable device that is either pre-filled with a liquid THC concentrate or can be filled with a solid or liquid THC concentrate. With the legalization of recreational marijuana in many states in the US, other forms of THC – the intoxicating ingredient in marijuana – have come into the mainstream besides traditional, dry marijuana leaves.

THC vape pens work with a specific type of cannabis product: pure THC. It has been extracted from marijuana plants and turned into either a solid (wax, shatter, butter, crumble) or liquid (oil) material. This material can be heated, vaporized, and inhaled to produce the same intoxicating effects as smoking traditional marijuana.

The pens themselves are as they are described: small, compact, pen-style devices with internal batteries attached to an atomizer where users can load their preferred material. In addition, users can often connect pre-filled, 510-threaded cartridges to a 510-threaded battery. They can use a device that has a refillable design to use with other types of THC concentrate like crumble, shatter, or wax.

Types of THC Vape Pen

There are two types of THC vape pens:

  • A pre-filled 510 cartridge with THC oil
  • A device with a refillable atomizer or oven

The first type of THC pen is the most convenient and easiest to use. It only requires an applicable battery. Users can buy a 510-prefilled cartridge with any cannabis strain and varying strength. And then attach it to a battery and begin vaping. The other option is to buy a disposable pen that contains both the liquid pod and battery and is draw-activated. So users do not even have to attach the cartridge to the battery.

The second type of pen is a device that has an internal atomizer or oven (for dry herbs). So users can fill with their preferred material style, whether solid, liquid, or dry herb. These devices come in varying sizes and capacities, but they often last longer than a 510-cartridge or a disposable vape.

How To Use a THC Vape Pen

Using a THC vape pen is easy, regardless of the device being used. They are simple, straightforward devices with few controls or settings. But they often require little knowledge to set up or operate, even when they do.

Pre-filled, disposable vapes are the easiest since they are draw-activated, have no buttons, and require no setup (filling the pod or charging the battery). Disposables come in various designs. And users can choose from many different cannabis strains and strengths.

The same goes for pre-filled 510 cartridges, although users will need to have a compatible 510-battery to use with the cartridges. Refillable devices require a little more effort, but nothing so complicated. They often need only to be filled and charged, but they usually have a single button that controls all their features and settings.

FAQ

What is the best wattage to vape THC oil?

Between 6W and 15W is enough to vape thin or thick cannabis oils. Depending on the coil’s resistance, pre-filled cartomizers can produce vapor within that range. Any lower and no vapor will emerge; going above 15W may burn the coil and contaminate the oil. THC has a boiling point of 315F, which is what most THC pen batteries can output.

What is the best voltage to vape THC oil?

THC vape pen batteries usually have a maximum voltage output of 4.2V. However, in some cases, the pens with variable voltage settings have ranges starting at 3.3V going to as high as 4.2V or 4.3V.

How long does THC stay in the body?

There is no one answer to how long tetrahydrocannabinol stays in the body. Depending on a person’s consumption habits, body weight, age, and gender, the range can be between 40-80 days for some, and even more, close to 80-90 days for larger, heavier people.

Do weed vape pens set off smoke alarms?

The vapor from a weed vape pen should not set off smoke alarms, but it depends on the alarm itself and how sensitive it is to certain chemicals or particles. For example, most modern smoke alarms are trained to detect certain particles common to fire-based smoke like carbon monoxide. But, to be safe, it would be wise to not vape close or blow vapor directly into a smoke alarm.

What do I need for a THC vape pen?

You do not need a lot for a vape pen other than the pen itself and the cannabis concentrate that applies to your device, whether solid or liquid concentrate or dry herb cannabis.

How many hits does a THC vape have?

The duration of a pre-filled, disposable vape pen can vary depending on the cell and how much liquid it contains. Some pens can last for up to 800 puffs and have a 2ml pod capacity. Pens with a larger capacity can last even longer, up to 1000 puffs.

How much THC is in Delta 8 vape pen?

The THC concentration in Delta-8 vape pens varies between manufacturers and ranges from 500mg to 1000mg and even higher.

How long do THC carts last in storage?

High-quality cannabis concentrates can last for up to a year if stored properly, meaning they are kept in cool, dry places and avoid direct sunlight, heat, and humidity.

Can I order THC vapes?

Cannabis-based vapes can be bought and ordered online but only where the law allows it, like in California, Washington, and other states where recreational marijuana is legal. Buying a pre-filled cartridge filled with cannabis is illegal, and many producers and retailers will either not sell or deliver out-of-state.

Are disposable THC vapes good?

The quality of a disposable device depends on the manufacturer. Several disposable vapes are high-quality and contain premium cannabis concentrate. Still, users should be on the lookout for counterfeits and buy only from reputable retailers and dispensaries to avoid using pens with harmful contaminants and additives.

The Last Word

THC oil vape pens have changed how people consume cannabis. The devices here in 2022 are a mix of high-tech, advanced and reliable, high-quality, and still budget units. The options vapers have here are suitable for all levels of experience, from beginners to experts.

These pens are easy-to-use and even support e-liquid vaping, at least refillable devices like the Rubi. No button operation is what many vapers prefer, but even the products with one button controls are straightforward.

Even though many of these devices have refillable pods or tanks, they require minimal cleaning or maintenance. Therefore, if someone is looking to enter the world of cannabis vaping, any one of these devices will make a suitable introduction.

I specifically like CBD Isolate Crystals because they do not contain any THC so I have peace of mind in the case that I have to take a drug test for work because I work for Border Patrol.

Hi Edibles, thanks for writing in. Glad to hear you’re enjoying CBD isolates. Isolates are a good way to avoid even trace amounts of THC in your body, but if you take them over a long time those trace amounts can build up. If you need to pass a drug test every so often, I would recommend not using CBD for a few weeks before your test so you clear your system of everything. Some chemicals in tests can even turn CBD into THC when they interact with them. Best to err on the side of caution. Hope this helps, let us know how it goes with you.
