The Aegis X 200 W is a box mod from GeekVape that has a lot of innovative features. It has a 2.0 chipset that allows for high maximum output, accurate temperature control, and faster response time.

It has a wide range of temperatures from which to select fitting on different e-liquid heating preferences. In addition, the vape mod has a vividly colorful screen that is easy to use. The Geekvape device also has several safety features that make it easier to handle and less likely to break.

Overview of the GeekVape Aegis X Mod

The Geekvape Aegis X generates up to 200W of output with the help of dual 18650 batteries. In addition, the AS 2.0 chipset allows the vape mod to run more efficiently by making it more responsive to the user. It is also more accurate and precise when it comes to selecting a temperature.

The temperature range for this Geekvape is 200 to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. There are several output modes: powerful, standard, and soft modes. The 2.4 inch OLED color screen is one of the best in the industry, looking more like the screen of a smartphone than a vape.

Many safety features are worth noting. The Aegis X vape has typical safety features of a box mod like a 10-second cut-off, short circuit, overcharge, overheat, and overcurrent protection. Still, it also has extra safeguards that make it more durable.

The vape can withstand being submerged in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes, and it is shock-resistant so that it can withstand a bit of bashing. Also, it can operate in a dirty, dusty environment thanks to its dustproof design.

Because of its unique safety features, this Geekvape device is perfect for vapers who lead highly active lifestyles. Besides, it is ideal for military members on deployment, hikers who will be in the wilderness for several days, and people who are active in general.

Since it uses 18650 batteries, no portable charger has to be lugged around. Instead, just bring a few extra sets of batteries and a bottle of e-liquid, and whoever is using it is good to go for several days.

The GeekVape Aegis X Kit

The Geekvape Aegis X kit comes with several accessories that are essential to the device’s operation.
In addition to the mod, it has one USB cable that can update the firmware.

Also, this Geekvape kit includes a Cerberus tank, a mesh coil, a screen protector, and spare glass. There is also a user manual that details the device’s operation. Also, it can answer any questions the user has about the mod. Be sure to read the manual before using the Geekvape Aegis X.

The GeekVape Aegis X Battery

The Aegis X does not have an internal battery; instead, it operates on dual 18650 batteries.

Sony VCT4 batteries are a great option to turn to because they are affordable at $8.95 per cell and are rated at 2,500 mah.

GeekVape Aegis X Vaping Modes

There are many ways to vape with the Aegis X. It has variable wattage mode, temperature control (nickel, stainless steel, and titanium coils), TCR, bypass mode, and variable power curve. The wattage goes up to 200W, and the temperature ranges from 200 to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. Thanks to bypass mode, the vape mod can be rigged to harness the raw power of the cells.

VPC allows the vaper to control the wattage for each second of operation. Raise or lower it to get hard throat hits or mellow and pleasurable experiences. For example, allow it to run at 80 watts for a few seconds and then get it to go down to 70 and 50 watts. The wattage will go down for the remained of the vaping session. It is a customizable feature that can be modified to suit the vaper’s wants.

How Long do the Coils Last?

New coils generally last one to two weeks depending on how often they are used and if they are properly broken in. The life of the coils can be extended with proper care and maintenance.

The GeekVape Aegis X Tank

The kit includes the Cerberus sub-ohm tank, which is designed to be used with the super mesh coil.

This coil makes the most of the heating contact surface area, resulting in a more fulfilling flavor and better cloud production. It holds a lot of vape juice. The standard glass holds 4 ml, but when the bubble glass is put in holds an additional 1.5 ml.

How to Use the GeekVape Aegis X

  • Load the 18650 batteries by opening up the spring-loaded door at the bottom.
  • Turn it on by pushing the firing button at the top of the vape five times.
  • Push the firing button three times to enter the mode selection screen.
  • Push the firing button to switch between the settings. Adjust the settings using the navigational buttons.
  • Hold the firing button for two seconds or do nothing for five seconds to exit the modes screen.
  • Change the wattage level by pushing the two navigational buttons at the bottom.
Push the navigational buttons at the bottom of the screen simultaneously to lock the screen. Repeat this step to unlock it.
  • Adjust the brightness by holding the firing button and the plus or minus button.

The Vaping Experience

GeekVape’s mods always provide excellent flavor and a good amount of vapor, and this vape mod is no exception. The ability to get the more precise temperature and wattage levels help to increase the flavor. In addition, cloud production is fantastic with this robust, little mod. One drag and exhale off of it is enough to clear the room. Flavor lovers and cloud chasers will be pleased as punch with this new Geekvape model.

Competitors of the GeekVape Aegis X

GeekVape Aegis X vs. Aegis Legend

The Aegis X and the Aegis Legend are both similar mods in design and function.

They both are durable, and they have many of the same power modes. The most significant differences are that the Aegis X is slightly more responsive because it has an improved chip and a larger screen. Both are good buys, but get the Aegix X to enjoy the latest updates and features from GeekVape.

GeekVape Aegis X vs. Voopoo Drag 2

The VooPoo Drag 2 is a cool-looking box mod with a lot of great features. It has a good chip and great flavor, and decent cloud production.

However, the Aegis X outperforms Voopoo Drag 2 in several critical areas. For example, with the extension glass, the Aegis X holds a total of 5.5 ml, whereas the VooPoo Drag holds 5 ml. The Geekvape Aegis X is also has a higher wattage level versus the Drag’s 177 watts.

My way of understanding the significance of vaping came not only through the disruption of smoking but its effects on society as a whole. Now I bring people to vaping and bring vaping to people. I love using new gear, writing in-depth reviews and generally nerding out about vaping to like-minded people.

I can’t fault it at all.
I bought the Aegis X because I was giving up smoking.
I’m a bit of a review geek so I researched and decided it had everything I was looking for.
Started off on very low wattage settings, until I got used to my new experience.
This thing is so powerful, the flavour and cloud I’m now achieving is more than I’d hoped for.
    Absolutely LOVE it!!!

I have had nothing but trouble out of my ex ever since I got it in fact the day after I got it now 4 weeks later it doesn’t work at all it won’t charge it won’t turn on nothing but problems. And I’m sorry in this day and age with money being tight $100 is not an easy throw away for me.

I use the Aegis X with a Zues Dual RTA. I prefer to run it with quad core fused clapton coils and it performs phenomenally. Im an electrician so I beat the crap out of all my devices and this is no exception. The Aegis X doesn’t disappoint. Tried and true. Still vaping strong!

Not as tough as they make it out to be. I’m on my third. I lost the first one so that’s my fault. But the second one, it fell a few times off of a small table about 2.5 feet to the floor. The screen broke on the inside. You couldn’t read half of i tanynore. A few days later the front panel and buttons fell right off. Shortly after, it was toast and I had to replace it. I did buy another one. I also found a foam skin for it at Amazon. I do like it but if this one breaks within a few months, I won’t be buying a fourth.

The Legend is way more durable than the X. Since buying the X:

I’ve had to take the batteries out 3 times due to auto firing. Scary for sure.

    The screen scratches very easily.

The battery door was slightly modified and is almost impossible to close at times. It is a very poor redesign that has caused alot of frustration, especially when it can take several minutes to get the slide to lock. I look for it to eventually fail completely and have to get it replaced. Sad seeing that I’ve only owned it for one month.

Otherwise, I’m hoping that both my legend and X both last for a long time without the chips dying as I do take good care of my mods. Until then, I will update to let you know how customer service is when I contact them tomorrow about the auto firing and battery door issues. However, I’ve heard the battery door defect is quite common.

Hi Ken, yeah, we also noticed the screen scratched very easily. It looks good, but it is a big vulnerability for an otherwise excellent mod. The battery door for the Aegis Legend, Mini and Solo were all well-designed, and has since been copied by other manufacturers, so again, it’s curious why GV decided to go with another design for the X.
