This vaping device has a high manufacturing quality, showed during the long tests of Innokin CLK Vape Pen. In this review, we will describe in more detail the possibilities and advantages of this device.
At first look, you immediately notice the appearance of the Innokin CLK Vape Pen. Designers and developers did their best to produce a decent vape pen. Patterns located on the battery in high-tech style give it a modern look. The voltage with a Twist regulator rotated at 360° is very convenient to use.
Let’s get started!
Key features of the Innokin CLK Vape Pen
- Variable Voltage: the rotational wheel adjusts from 3.5 to 5.0V in various increments. You can choose the exact voltage to get maximum vapor and taste
- Clearomizer Resistance 1.2 ohm (min), 2.1Ohm recommended
- Battery: Built-in 800 mAh polymer Li-Ion rechargeable battery
- Pass through charging: Use vaporizer while charging via any USB port
- Monitor battery level: (100-50% – green light mode, 49-10% – yellow light mode, less than 10% – the red light warns that you need to charge the battery)
- Short Circuit Protection: (triggered in case the resistance is less than 0.6 Ohm), over discharge, accidental turn off/on (to lock the device, quickly press the button 3 times)
- Innokin iClear 16D dual coil clearomizer: with two heating coils, located at the bottom of the vaporizer
- Exclusive design: the Innokin CLK comes in 3 colors, Onyx (black), Pixie (pink), QuickSilver (silver)

The Innokin CLK Vape Pen is a premium vaping device, which is assembled of quality components and equipped with good technical features. Special thanks to developers for the unique appearance of this e-cigarette, due to which it has become even more stylish and modern. Transparent clearomizer elegantly complements the metal battery case, which is covered with patterns made in hi-tech style.
In addition to the colorful design, the device is decorated with engraved Innokin logo.
Voltage Regulation of the Innokin CLK Vape Pen
To adjust the voltage, you need to spin the rotational wheel, located at the lower part of the device. The wheel has numbers; in order to select one, you must combine the digit on the wheel with a mark, located on the same side as the power button. Most clearly the numbers are visible on the black version of the device.
The voltage regulation wheel has some specifications:
- The wheel rotates to the left and to the right, that is, you can go from 3.5 V to 5.0V and back.
- When the value of the selected voltage is combined with a mark, you hear a noticeable click.
- If the user turns the wheel only partially, when the button is pressed only twice, the red indicator will flash three times.
Overall, there are 7 possible options for voltage setting: 3.5, 3.8, 4.0, 4.3, 4.5, 4.8 and 5.0V. In some cases, such a fractional adjustment is insufficient.
The electronics of the device have the following limitations:
- Maximum output current: 3.0A
- Maximum output wattage: 9.5W
If the resistance of the Innokin CLK Vape Pen goes beyond these limits, the set voltage will not be applied. Therefore, the manufacturer recommends using the vaporizer with a resistance of at least 1.2 Ohms (recommended resistance is 2.5 Ohms).
Also, electronics protect the device from short-circuiting. If the resistance is less than 0.6 (± 0.2) Ohms, the protection will be turned on, and the voltage supply will be stopped.
Switching on/off the device is done by quickly pressing the button three times. When enabled, the power button flashes red, yellow and green. When turned off, it indicates the color, corresponding to the current battery level. The charge level indication notifies the following battery status: green color shows that it’s over 3.75 V, yellow color: from 3.60 to 3.75 V, red: 3.6 V and less. When the battery is less than 3.3V, the device turns off.
To charge the Innokin CLK Vape Pen, use the lanyard ring with the micro-USB connector. It has small silicone plug. For charging, use any USB port and adapter. The device allows to use it while charging, which is sometimes convenient.
The connector is self-adjusting: when you click on it, its move is visible. It is difficult to say how durable it will be after some time in use. The device is equipped with lanyard ring (needed when using evaporators with a 510 connector). If it is unscrewed, we will see the eGo connector itself: it can be screwed with evaporators with a 510-m connector or vaporizers with the external thread.
The ring closes (protects) the micro-USB connector, through which the device is charged. Well, it just gives the device a neat look. The device can be used without this part as well. We usually carry a device in pockets or a bag. Right after the photo session, we discovered that the fastening tab in this ring could be unscrewed (there is a screw for this purpose). Now we use this part only as a protection for the USB connector and for decorative purposes.
Comparing the Innokin CLK Vape Pen
Functionally, the review participant is similar to the eGo-Twist. We actively used both devices. The Twist is thinner (14 mm), but somewhat longer. Personally, we stopped using Twist because these vape pens do not work very well with vape tanks with a diameter over 14 mm.
In comparison with the VV V3.0, the Innokin CLK has significantly fewer electronics capabilities. There is no display, no possibility to measure the resistance of the vaporizer and no counter for puffs. The Innokin CLK takes care of the issue that we’ve heard before from eGo Twist and Vision Spinner users. The thing is that the variable voltage wheel may switch on in the pocket. The CLK’s variable voltage adjustment is at the bottom too, but the wheel doesn’t spin on its own. Here, the build is pretty tight, and you can choose the voltage by scrolling this wheel until the specific click. Generally speaking, the Innokin CLK is not the tiniest vape pen (the outer diameter of it is 17-18 mm). But personally, we liked it, as the device is similar to average vaporizers on the market issued the same year.
Evaluation and Impressions
The device was compact and visually appealing in 2014 and for a long period of time since its release.
Since the review participant is an “impulse” rather than a “linear” device, we will be more restrained in our assessments. To be honest, we found this already at the time while the review was written: we took a multimeter to measure how cloud quality differs if we use different voltage. Well, on the devices with a built-in function that enables abundant e-liquid supply, the difference is almost unnoticeable. Innokin CLK is a compact and visually appealing device with pre-installed voltage modes. The available options (3.5, 3.8, 4.0, 4.3, 4.5, 4.8, 5.0V) allow you to enjoy the vaping process and regulate the amount of vapor by setting different voltage level.
Due to the outer diameter of the parts (17-18 mm), the Innokin CLK falls into a niche of devices designed for small evaporators. And such devices are in demand, especially for owners of unattended or semi-serviced vaporizers.
We really liked its good compatibility with GG Penelope from Imeo (Golden Greek). One evaporator was easily connected with Telegonos 14500 from Dicodes, the second with iTaste CLK 1280. So there is a good level of compatibility and functionality in one box.
The products from Innokin differ in their variety and memorable appearance. We believe that this product will be a good option for the lover of old school vaporizers. If there is such an opportunity, try the device before buying. It is very enjoyable and worth examining.
