In the market for a new dual battery box mod? The new Innokin Proton is most definitely worth checking out. This vape review will go into depth about this mod’s excellent features. From its large Scion II tank to its beautiful display screen, this Innokin Proton starter kit has everything! It has a sleek design, versatile temperature settings, and features that make it easy to use.

Unboxing the New Innokin Proton

There are lots of extras included in the purchase of the Innokin Proton starter kit. In addition to the mod and Scion II tank, this starter kit comes with:

  • 1 x 0.36 Ohm Scion II Coil (Pre-Installed)
  • 1 x 0.15 ohm Plexus Coil
  • 1 x Spare Glass Tube (5ml)
  • 1 x Extra Drip Tip
  • 1 x USB Charging Cable
  • 1 x Vape Band
  • Spare Parts

This Innokin Proton starter kit comes with an instruction manual. It is not hard to use, but this manual will be helpful for beginner vapers or individuals new to box mod kits! It is great that this unit comes with spare parts too. This Proton kit is high-quality, so parts do not break easily. However, this will come in handy if a user ever accidentally misplaces parts.

Innokin Proton Review: Design and Structure of the Kit

At first glance, the Innokin Proton is good-looking and sophisticated. It comes in three different colors. First, there is a black or grey glossy finish on black matte features for traditional vapers. Then, there is a glossy rainbow finish on black matte features for those feeling more adventurous. This looks especially cool when vaping outdoors, and the sun hits the rainbow gloss at just the right angle.

The 1.45″ TFT Color Display Screen comes with six different color options to choose from. Users can pick whichever they think complements their dual 18650 battery box mod, personality, and/or mood best. The Proton vape also has a huge clear Scion II tank so that vapers can see all of their medium. This aspect of the Innokin Proton looks cool, but it is also practical. Users will be able to see when they are running low.

On the tip of this product is an 810 wide bore tip mouthpiece that connects to a push top fitting cap. This makes removing the mouthpiece for cleaning very easy. Below the Scion II tank is the slot that controls airflow and ensures smooth hits. This is pretty small for all of the power that it punches. Its measurements are 85.4 x 44.6 x 29.6 mm (3.36 x 1.76 x 1.17 inches). It has a slim frame and is lightweight, thanks to zinc alloy metals used in its production. This alloy is also known for being particularly sturdy though. Users will travel knowing this puppy is safe from damage in their pocket, purse, etc.

Users can choose to vape with wattage between 6.0W and 235W. The minimum voltage of this product is 0, and the maximum is 9. Its temperature can range from 300F to 600F (150C-315C). The resistance range spreads from a low of 0.05 ohm to 3.5 ohm. The stainless steel 510 threading within the unit ensures that the heating medium is always safe and provides the perfect hit. Lastly, the Proton comes with low resistance, dual circuit, and reverse polarity protection!

Features and How To Use the Innokin Proton

The Innokin Proton vape kit is straightforward to use once a vaper gets the hang of it. As previously mentioned in the review, the mouthpiece is very easy to take on and off for cleaning. The dual 18650 battery mod is also a piece of cake to use though. Towards the top of the unit is a side fire panel. The side fire panels allow its users to power the product on and off with three clicks. It can also serve as a back button to return users to the product’s menu.

innokin Proton 235W display screen

On the face of the product is the TFT full-color 1.45” display screen. In addition to supporting six different color themes, this screen conveys information. It will tell the user where the battery level is. It can also tell the user what wattage is currently being used. Directly below that screen is a joystick controller with different abilities. Users can push it up, down, left, or right to select other things on the screen. For example, holding the joystick down allows vapers to preheat their vape. Users can also adjust their vape settings, such as its coil types, temperature, and wattage. That way, vapers can get the perfect, customized hit they are searching for.

This joystick lets users lock and unlock their settings. Or, by the power button and pushing the joystick left, users can access the 2nd screen. This Proton’s screen contains information about coil resistance and battery voltage. It also has one of the coolest features about the Innokin Proton– a puff counter! Finally, right below that is a Micro USB port. This is where users can charge their vape mod.

Why the Scion 2 Is Ideal for This Box Mod?

The Scion 2 holds 3.5 mL of medium. This is huge compared to other vape tanks out on the market. Yet despite this huge tank, this unit is still surprisingly light and slender. To fill or refill the tank, the mouthpiece and cap can be slid open by following the directions of the arrows. This will reveal a small opening where the user can drip in their vape juice.

The Proton’s top fill container is one of the best types of tank. It reduces spills to a minimum. When the vape juice is replenished, users need to slide the mouthpiece and cap back on. Then, the protocol is to wait 5 minutes before beginning the next vape session. This gives the e-liquid juice time to settle and will provide the vaper with the best user experience.

The Other Competitors Out There

Vapor Storm Puma 200W TC Box Mod

The Vapor Storm Puma comes at a slightly lower price than the Innokin. Therefore, it could be a good alternative for someone who is searching for a discount. However, what they save in upfront price, they will arguably lose in quality. One huge downfall of this is that it does not come with a kit.

VAPOR STORM PUMA 200W box mod without tank

Purchase only includes the mod, a charging cable, and a manual. The measurements of this product are 40mm by 40.3mm by 80.7mm, (1.57 x 1.59 x 3.18 inches), making it slightly smaller than the Innokin. However, while it also has a digital display screen, the screen on this is only 0.96 inches instead of 1.45 inches on the Innokin. This makes a big difference when trying to see the settings displayed on the screen and is likely why the product is smaller.

Vaporesso Polar 220W TC Vape Starter Kit

The Polar 220W also comes at a slightly lower price, although this alternative actually includes a kit and not just the mod. It comes in a decent variety of 7 different colors. The design is tacky compared to the 235W though. Its dimensions are 144mm x 45mm x 28mm (5.67 x 1.78 x 1.10 inches), making it bigger than the Innokin though. This added bulkiness makes it harder to travel with.

Vaporesso Polar 220W TC box mod

This mod’s added benefit over the Innokin is that it holds up to 6.5 mL of vape juice and a slightly larger display screen. However, there are more cons than pros to this product. For example, it is only able to reach a maximum wattage of 220W. The 235W can reach up to 235W. This extra 15 watts can make a huge difference in the vaping experience. The Innokin also does not come with a nifty joystick, which makes navigating options and settings harder.

Final Conclusion of the Innokin Review

All in all, the Innokin Proton kit is truly one of the best– if not the best dual 18650 battery mod on the market. The vape is priced higher than most, but this is because its quality simply cannot be beaten. That should be very clear from this review. The Proton is likely going to be more popular amongst more experienced vapers due to this higher price. Beginner vapers may be afraid to commit to a serious vaping product such as this one. Regardless though, whoever buys the Proton will not be disappointed.
Its massive tank and long-lasting battery life will make vaping sessions last for ages. The removable mouthpiece makes it easy to clean and keep the box mod in tip-top shape. The display board and joystick allow for a plethora of awesome customizations. It means that no two vaping experiences ever have to be the same with this Innokin. The Zinc Alloy used to construct the unit ensures that it is light as a feather and sturdy as steel. Users are definitely going to want to purchase the Innokin Proton. It is sure to make all of their vaping friends jealous and satisfy their vape cravings.
