#1 The Smok X Cube II
The company’s flagship device, the Smok X Cube II is the successor of the X Cube BT 50. Just like its predecessor, the X Cube II can be paired with your smartphone via Bluetooth, where one can adjust settings without fiddling with the device. While some feel this feature is more gimmicky than useful, we found that adjusting settings on our phone while the mod is in our pocket is a feature more mods should adapt.
The kit comes with one X Cube II, a choice of one Arctic Tank, TFV4 Tank, or Smok TCT Tank, one charger, two 18650 batteries, one USB cable, and an instruction manual. Having a choice of tanks is a good move by Smok, and any of the three will serve you just fine. For our kit, we chose the TFV4, which was released at the same time as the X Cube II. The tank itself is easy to use, and we were able to produce huge plumes of vapor while keeping the taste of the e-juice intact. However, be advised that the TFV4 is not a tank for beginners.
The device itself is easy to use, with two buttons on top for adjusting temperature/voltage/wattage. To fire the device, instead of a button the device uses a firing bar. This may seem odd, but it makes sense in that we did not have to feel around for the button. Instead, we just squeeze the device to fire.
Overall, the Smok X Cube II is a worthy successor of the X Cube BT 50, one that is well worth the cost. Especially if you consider the more than triple the wattage limit. The Bluetooth feature works perfectly and makes for easy adjusting even when the device is in our pocket. The TFV4 is a fantastic tank, though if you are a beginner, you might find the Smok TCT Tank easier to use.
