Our Thoughts about the GeekVape Frenzy
The GeekVape Frenzy has a lot of features that make it a device worth considering. It contains the AS Micro Chipset, which can detect the coils being used in the pod and change the output mode accordingly. Complementing this is a powerful 950 mah battery that can last an entire day. The LED battery life indicator above the USB port has several color codings that show how the battery is doing and when it needs to be charged.
The 3 ml pod is an open fill design that allows for the coils to be replaced and adjustment of the airflow. It uses 1.2 and 0.7 sub ohm coil heads. The 1.2-ohm coils are good for those wanting to get a fully flavored mouth-to-lung hit, while the 0.7-ohm mesh coil is great for those who want to produce big clouds.
The outward appearance of the device makes it look very cool and futuristic, and it is available in a lot of neat finishes, such as black onyx, silver and carbon fiber, and blue azure just to name a few. Additionally, it is constructed from zinc alloy, making it light and comfortable to hold. This construction makes it a great starter kit for those looking for something easy to carry around in a purse, pocket, or backpack.
What Comes in the GeekVape Frenzy Pod Kit?
The Frenzy pod kit comes with everything needed to get started vaping. There is the pod system itself, followed by the two coils, a micro USB cable for charging the device, and an easy to read and understand user manual.
Internal Building Quality and Design
The external design of the GeekVape Frenzy is great, especially with the wide range of colors available. Internally, everything is pretty good, too. The pods use anti-leak technology, and the coils are easy to access. The only problem with the device is that if it is grabbed by the pod, the battery section can fall off, which could potentially cause damage.
The GeekVape Frenzy’s Battery is a Powerhouse
The 950 mah battery is powerful enough to last for a day or longer depending on the habits of the owner. The amount of time it can run without having to be recharged is another impressive feature that makes this portable mod. The user can leave the house and do and go wherever he wants without having to worry about a dead battery.
Versatile Coil System
Of all the things about these pods, the interchangeable coils are the best part. The kit comes with one pod and two coil heads. Access them by turning a threadless cap a quarter of a turn and then replace them.
What is amazing about this starter kit is how the AS Micro Chipset can detect what kind of coil has been inserted. When the 0.2 ohm NS coil is put into the pod, the GeekVape Frenzy runs on temperature control mode, and the temperature can be changed with a few clicks.
The LED light changes color depending on the temperature:
- 420°F for white,
- 440°F for blue,
- and 460°F for green.
When the 0.7 ohm NS Mesh Coil is put into the pod, the Frenzy enters voltage output mode.
The light has a different color for each output level:
- white for 2.5 volts,
- blue for 2.7 volts,
- and green for 2.9 volts.
How to Use the GeekVape Frenzy
The GeekVape Frenzy is easy to use. To get started, first examine the package and make sure everything is there. Read the user manual to develop a full understanding of the device. Charge the mod if it is not already charged.
It is now time to fill up the pod. Remove the pod by grabbing it and the battery. Gently pull away from the pod. Remove the sticker that is between the pod and the battery. Carefully lift up the fill port using the aid of a fingernail or an edged object. Doing this will expose two fill ports. Put the nose into one of the ports and fill the pod until it is full. Wipe away any excess fluid with a damp cloth or tissue.
The airflow can be adjusted by turning the dial opposite the drip tip. If it is given a quarter turn, it comes off. Once it is off, take the dial in hand and place the coil into it and turn it until it is secured to the dial. Place a few drops of e-liquid into the coil, and then put the dial back on coil end first. Give it another quarter turn to lock it in place. At this point, the pod can be re-inserted into the mod.
Press the firing button three times to change modes. The LED light will change color each time the mode is changed. Click the button twice to check the battery life. Green is fully charged, blue is medium, and red means it needs to be recharged.
The drip tip is not removable.
Competitors
GeekVape Frenzy vs. Lost Vape Orion DNA Q
Like the GeekVape Frenzy, the Lost Vape Orion is a powerful device that uses a 950 mah battery that can last the entire day.
It also allows the user to adjust the airflow, and it is easy to refill. There are a few differences, though. Firstly, it uses a release switch to keep the pod in place, whereas the Frenzy uses a magnet to hold its pods in place. Also, its 1.0-ohm Q pods do not provide good mouth-to-lung hits.
GeekVape Frenzy vs. Smoant Pasito Rebuildable Pod Kit
The Smoant Pasito is another device similar to the GeekVape Frenzy. The coils inside the pod can be modified with three different coil heads, and it uses an ANT chip with five wattage levels. The pods hld 3 ml of e-juice, the drip tip can be removed, and it has a massive 1,100 mah battery.

Final Verdict on the GeekVape Frenzy
This device is certainly worth it for those looking for a modifiable pod mod that can last an entire day while delivering deep mouth-to-lung hits. It performs incredibly well thanks to its smart chip system that can adjust to the coils placed inside the pod. That is probably the coolest feature about this system. The 950 mah battery is also great because it makes it portable. It can be taken almost anywhere, and the owner will not have to worry about it dying.
The only problem with the GeekVape Frenzy is that the pod does not fit securely in place. The magnet is not that strong, and if it is grabbed by the pod, the battery can fall off. If this is done one too many times, it could cause damage. If GeekVape ever decides to come out with another version of this unit, they have to figure out a way to solve this problem.

November 28, 2019 at 8:42 ami find using this Pod system Great! cool looking device, which i use the mesh coils in, and use it in all three TC modes. great flovor with salts, great MTL hit, with adjustable airflow, i like a tight draw which this gives me, the only things i would possibly change would be the magnets holding the pod in place, ive had a few scares dropping it and the pod just pings off in another direction! and also lighten the colour of the pod, so you can whats in it without holding it up to direct light!
all in all i love mine, have replaced my Mod with this pod when out and about.

October 1, 2019 at 1:02 amNearly perfect, like, really the closest to tobacco without really smoking. But, like the vaporesso nexus, smok, and others: lose the micro-usb charging port. I want to take a drag now & then, and keep the thing in my pocket, not carry it around reverently like a fragile religious relic! the usb design is WAY to easy break: one or two thin copper wire(s) and delicate plastic prong that the whole design relies on. Please return to the far more reliable (and simple) male/female charging jack of the Discman era, or wire in more redundancies.

August 16, 2019 at 9:46 amI’m very disappointed in my frenzy. I’ve had it for a week, tried two new pods and 4 new coils and it won’t stop leaking! Probably just going to return it and go back to using my Orion.
