The Plenty Vaporizer is the newest in a line of desktop vapes. They designed it for those who want to enjoy vaping their herbs at home. Its larger frame allows for it to have much more material and hardware than normal. This is always great but comes at the cost of portability.
The Plenty Vaporizer is another interesting desktop product. It’s so small and portable that it could almost be called a portable vape. But it definitely has the power of the a desktop vape! And we thought it just didn’t quite fit what we thought a portable vape should be. Here is our review.

Plenty Vaporizer Speed Review
We know not everybody has time to read our full vaporizer reviews. So here is a quick category by category breakdown of the Plenty Vaporizer followed by a quick synopsis.
The Plenty Vaporizer is a solid desktop vape, but a bit pricey.
One of its unique features comes in the winding mouthpiece that seems more like a novelty than practical. Although once you start to use it, you realize that it is great. This review will help you figure out whether or not the Plenty vaporizer is worth shelling out the cash.
Function Over Form?
Storz and Bickel are the designers. They are pretty much the Steve Jobs of vaping. They have introduced several innovative vaporizers. The Plenty Vaporizer is yet another of their signature, outsized vaporizer that is neither elegant in design nor portable. But when it comes to performance, none of the portables come even close.
Right off the bat, you’re going to notice that the Plenty looks very different than most desktop vapes. It more closely resembles a Black and Decker screw gun than a vaporizer. It is far removed from is the closest sibling the Volcano. And its design is decidedly clunky compared to most desktop vapes.
My only gripe with it is that you have to hold it while vaping. This more or less defeats the purpose of getting a desktop vape in the first place. Having to hold the handle to make it work is just unnecessary. Furthermore, this makes it more tedious, considering it’s a decently heavy vape.
The handheld design is actually far removed from the desktop setup of the Volcano. The Plenty looks as much like a handheld power tool as it does a vaporizer, especially with the black and orange design. If you’re going for incognito, then you might get away with it with the vape. It’s not really designed to work the same way that most desktop vapes do. You will have to hold onto it while you vape.
Putting this vape into action isn’t as hard as it may seem, which is one good things about it. There is no display screen, or any real indicator of what temperature it is. Otherwise, it has seven presets going only to 395oF.
I don’t personally mind the lower heat cap because it lets me get longer sessions out of my herbs. Every time you want to take a draw, you have to make sure that you pull the trigger. This is because as soon as you let go, the heat starts creeping back down. The heat up time for this vape is around 3 minutes. This is pretty good compared to most desktop vaporizers.
Lost in the Clouds
One of the marquee features of the Plenty Vaporizer is the vapor production. Once you get a decent sized pull, you will not be hurting for vapor. This is probably the best vape (handheld or desktop) when it comes to vapor production. Additionally, it’s probably the reason its name is “Plenty”.
It also allows for easy pulls, and you won’t have to worry about your lungs coming out of the mouth. The internal heating unit is the genius for all of this amazing vapor production. The Plenty is small. The whole internal machine is basically, the heating unit which explains why it’s so great.
The Plenty does have a tendency to get a little hot. It is probably because of the nuclear core at the center of it. This shouldn’t be a problem for you if you hold it properly.
But There’s a Catch
There are a few hang-ups which I already mentioned earlier in the review. The vaporizer gets hot after using it for a while. It is a safety hazard if you don’t hold it properly. But if you grip it the right way, you won’t get burned.
Moreover, the vape needs to be held at all times while you’re vaping. Most desktop vaporizers get quite hot. Therefore, you’d think that they wouldn’t want you to be able to drop it on yourself. The handle doesn’t make any sense as far as I’m concerned. Furthermore, I’m baffled as to why they made it like that.
The lack of temperature markings is also a bit of a setback for the Plenty. With most vaporizers whether desktop or handheld, you get to at least see what the temperature is. This is even if you can only choose from the preset settings. Unless you memorize the settings, you’ll have to guestimate what the temperature is.
But we Still Love the Plenty Vaporizer
With that said there are more good things than bad. The Plenty Vaporizer heats up rather quickly compared to most other desktop vapes. As a result, it will be ready in little to no time. Even though it’s a desktop vaporizer, it’s fairly incognito. It resembles a number of things, none of them being a vaporizer. You could tell someone it’s a power tool and they would have no reason not to believe you.Plenty Vaporizer
The build quality of the Plenty is great and follows in the footsteps of the other Storz and Bickel products. It also comes with a 3-year warranty which ensures that if you have any problems with it. This means you’ll get a replacement without any hassle. At the same time, I do also like the long winding mouthpiece. It’s made of a flexible material that allows you to bend and rotate it to your liking.
The cleaning process of the Plenty Vaporizer is also very easy. This means it will allow you to simply just take some alcohol wipes and wipe it down. You also don’t have to clean it very often as it takes multiple sessions before blockage builds up.

So, Should I get the Plenty Vaporizer?
It’s more like an upsized version of a handheld vaporizer than being a smaller desktop vape. Having to hold it is a major gripe but something that you will get used to like any other vaporizer. The price of the vape at $299 is one of the pricier small desktop vapes on the market. This was a big point of contention for me back when I originally bought this.
If you liked the Volcano but wanted a (semi) handheld version of it, the Plenty Vaporizer is your vape. If you want a true desktop vape, then this won’t be sufficient for you. Therefore, you should look into getting any of Plenty’s other siblings. There are portable vapes that are just as good as the Plenty. However, you won’t get the monstrous vapor production that it has. I would recommend this to someone who is really into big clouds.
