The Easy Vape 5 is a great starter vaporizer. It’s a little clunky and requires a bit more work than the expensive models but it gets the job done.
Easy Vape has received a lot of mixed opinions over the years. But the Easy Vape 5 Digital seeks to fix a lot of those problems by changing up the way it operates and focusing on delivering a great-tasting vapor. But does it work?

The Easy Vape 5 Digital is shaped like a slanted box. It’s a far cry from the sleek cylinder-shaped desktop vapes we are used to seeing, but there always seems to be some very different design decisions being made when it comes down to the cheaper vapes. This is definitely designed to be a budget vape, and it doesn’t offer a lot of frills. It’s just a simple, functional vape.

You will want to start by turning on the power button and pressing the set button to get it warming up. You can use the temperature controls (plus and minus tabs) to adjust your temperature. We recommend starting out at a lower temperature just to be sure you don’t burn your herbs.

Let it warm up for about four minutes before you start vaping. While you wait for it to heat up, you can grind up your herbs. This vape only works with herbs, and when you use them you want to make sure they are ground up fine. This will help make certain that they don’t burn as well.

Then put your herb s into the whip and attach it into the heating element. You either have to attach it quickly or turn your vaporizer upside down to ensure that no herbs fall out. This may seem a bit odd at first, but it’s the way it was designed, so you just have to get used to it if you are going to use this vaporizer.

Now earlier versions of this vape had some trouble burning the product or producing uneven temperatures even when set at the same temperature. We can say that we had no such problems with our unit when we used it. It must be because it is the latest model, but it seemed to cook everything evenly and nothing was combusted. Just use the tips we gave you above to make sure that you don’t need up burning your herbs. And if you find that you aren’t getting much vapor from the unit, just turn the heat up a bit. It can depend as much on your herb quality as it does on the unit itself as to whether it will vape at a certain temperature. So just experiment a little and see what works for you.

For the $80 price tag you shouldn’t expect much in the way of additional accessories. For that price you only get a mouthpiece, the vaporizer, the tubing and a single screen. The screen will likely be the first part of the unit to need replacing, but they are sold in packs for relatively cheap. We suggest buying extra shortly after you buy your initial Easy Vape 5.

We liked the digital readout that tells you what temperature you are setting your vaporizer at. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of vaping and makes it easier to control your vaping session. It’s not a feature you usually see at this price point, so we appreciated the addition.

Pros & Cons

The Positives

  • One of the lowest price points for a desktop vape
  • Digital temperature readout
  • Sturdy craftsmanship

The Negatives

  • Bland design
  • Can be troublesome to load herbs without spilling any

Sure there are plenty of better vaporizers out there, but they are all going to cost you more. This is the cheapest decent desktop vape you will find. So while it’s not our favorite by a long shot, we have to give it some extra points for the value it provides.

It’s perfect as a present for someone who is thinking about vaping, and it is priced great as an introductory vape. The whole package is fairly durable, but it is also a vaporizer that comes with little in the way of extras or amenities.

If you have been using a really nice, high-end vape, it may be painful to come back to something like this, but it serves as a great secondary vaporizer in case your main one breaks down or the kind of vape you share with your friends because you don’t want them damaging your best one.

It gets the job done and not much else. So if you like to keep things simple, this works.

My way of understanding the significance of vaping came not only through the disruption of smoking but its effects on society as a whole. Now I bring people to vaping and bring vaping to people. I love using new gear, writing in-depth reviews and generally nerding out about vaping to like-minded people.
