Atmos Liv Portable Vaporizer Review – Is It Worth It?
The Atmos Liv is a new vaporizer created by the Atmos brand. They are usually known for making vapor pens, but this is their attempt at a portable style vaporizer. And it’s a pretty good attempt. There’s a lot to like about it.

The small and discreet vaporizer may just offer the most value for your money out of everything out on the market today. Read our review below to find out why we think so.
We like the compact and sleek design of the Atmos Liv. It looks sort of like a portable music player or an attachable hard drive. Until you start taking puffs from it, it shouldn’t draw any attention. And it easily fits into your pocket, as it is one of the most compact portable vapes around.
The mouthpiece stores inside the device, so you don’t have to worry about it poking you or coming out when it is in your pocket. This of course, makes it even more discreet.
It also comes in a few different colors- white, black, light green and turquoise. All of them look stylish and won’t make you feel embarrassed to have this out in public.
One of the features we really love about this device is the ceramic heating chamber. As we will explain later, it is great for producing some of the best vapor around.
The Atmos Liv keeps things simple. It uses a single activation button. And that button turns the device both on and off, so even a new user can figure it all out without much trouble.
It also comes with a power stand that lets you charge other USB-powered items. This means you can stand the Liv up while it is charging and use it much like a desktop vaporizer. That’s great for people who like to take a rest from holding their vapes all the time. Too many portable vapes require that you hold the device the entire time, even when it is charging, so this is a nice way to make it a comfortable at-home vape as well as convenient portable one.
You can also use the liv to vape your way oils. The vapor quality isn’t quite as good as you get from vaping herbs, but it is still decent.
Now the big deal with the Atmos Liv is its ceramic heating chamber. A lot of portable vaporizers use some sort of metallic chamber. While this will heat up the herbs or whatever else you have just fine, it can change the flavor of the ingredients in subtle and unpleasant ways.
With the ceramic chamber, you just get pure taste. It’s like there is nothing between your herbs and your mouth, and the vapor always comes out crisp and clear. This is far and away the best feature of this vaporizer and the number one reason we would recommend it. That’s not to say that it’s the best portable vape out there, but you aren’t likely to find anything else that will produce vapor as clearly.
Pros and Cons of the Atmos Liv Vaporizer
- Very small, very discreet- you can take it anywhere
- Charges standing up, giving your hands a break
- Retractable mouthpiece
- Great, clear vapor production thanks to ceramic heating chamber
- Excellent price
- Handles herbs and oils
- Vapor production suffers with oils
- Parts are not all of high quality
- No adjustable temperature
This little vape packs a lot of promise in its small size and affordable price. For $140 you get a very discreet portable vaporizer that handles herbs and oils. And it has that wonderful ceramic chamber to ensure you have tasty, clear vapor every time you use it.
But because it doesn’t cost much, you shouldn’t expect it to last a long time. The parts feel a little flimsy when compared to the heavier duty, more expensive vapes. That’s to be expected for the price you pay for this, but it may be disappointing if you were hoping for something that will last you for years.
You also have to be careful about how you treat it. If you drop it (and we all drop ours at some point), then you may end up breaking the ceramic interior. You have to handle it gently, which means it may not be quite as portable as you like. But as long as you treat it with the same care you would a portable MP3 player, then you should be fine.
We like this little vape, and we highly recommend it for its vapor quality. That said, if you want something that will really last you, you will need to look elsewhere. It’s a great introductory vape to use until you can afford something a little tougher.
