Differences Between RBA Vape Products: A Quick and Easy Guide

Differences Between RBA Vape Products

Vapers typically start with disposable vapes, and then they begin vaping pod mods. From there, they move up to using refillable tanks that use plug-and-play coil systems. Eventually, many vapers decide to move onto using tanks with more customization options, so they start using vape RBA tanks.

These atomizers are the highest level a vaper can reach, and they are well worth buying and vaping, especially for those who are tired of refillable tanks and pod mods.

What Is an RBA Vape?

“RBA” is short for “rebuildable atomizer.” These devices have build decks that allow the user to install his or her own coils. The user can build these coils, or they can be bought pre-made. The term “RBA” is a broad term used to cover any and all devices with a rebuildable deck, but there are different types of atomizers with these features.

Knowing what each of these devices is and what they do is the surest way of knowing which of them is best. However, learning how to use them is pretty challenging and not for the faint-hearted or inexperienced.

Even so, RBAs are the ultimate experience in vaping. They produce superior cloud production, and building custom coils allows vapers to get very creative with their vaping habits.

How Do RBA Coils Work?

The coils work the same as those on any other device, except that these coils can handle very low resistances, which make them run hotter than plug-and-play coils and pods. The result is improved cloud production.

However, the problem with RBAs is that they require the user to have a lot of knowledge about electricity and electrical currents. The main thing to be aware of is that putting a coil on a vape that cannot handle the current going across can result in the battery exploding.

To avoid an accident, carefully read the device’s specifications and manual, and do not use coils that cannot interact with the battery.

What Is RBA Vape Head?

The “head” is an enclosed area around the deck. The heads are usually removable and replaceable and can support one or more user-made coils. Most RBA heads support up to two coils.

RBA heads are ideal for users who are transitioning from plug-and-play coils to building their own. They allow users to raise their experience and knowledge levels to the point where they can adequately use an RDA or an RDTA.

How Long Does RBA Coil Last?

Coils can last a long time if they are adequately taken care of. Once a week, or depending on how often they are vaped, take the coil (or coils) out of the tank, remove the old wicking, and clean it thoroughly.

  1. The best way to do this is to soak it in warm water for half an hour or more.
  2. Doing this will loosen all of the charred juice and wicking stuck to the wire.
  3. Next, clean it using a small steel brush and isopropyl alcohol.
  4. Brush it until the old juice residues are knocked away.
  5. When finished brushing the coil, wash it with warm running water to remove all traces of the alcohol.
  6. Afterward, place the coil on a towel or paper towel and let it air dry.

Once it is dry, secure the coil to the build deck and dry fire it. Dry firing is when the vape is fired with no wicking or juice in the tank to make sure it burns evenly and that there are no machine oils.

Rewick the coil when it cools and prime it with juice. Do this by dripping liquid into the juice well – the place in the bottom of the RBA where the juice collects – and let the wicking soak it up. Wicking is the material, usually made of cotton, that soaks up and retains the liquid. Let the device sit for five to ten minutes before vaping.

These steps probably seem tedious and laborious, but regular cleaning and rewicking maintain the flavor consistency and cloud production while maintaining the longevity of the wires.

As earlier stated, there are different kinds of rebuildable atomizers. There are rebuildable dripping tank atomizers(RDTA) and rebuildable drip atomizers(RDA), and rebuildable tank atomizers (RTA).

While similar, there are several differences which customers should be aware of before making a purchase.

What Is an RDTA?

  • An RDTA’s deck is built like that of an RDA, except that the tank section beneath the deck sends liquid into the coils without having to drip juice into the tank.
  • Also, they have rebuildable decks that resemble those of a regular drip atomizer, their liquid capacity is on par with that of a standard tank, and their build decks only fit user-made coils.
  • As a result, these are excellent tanks for people who like building their own coils but do not want to drip liquid in the tank every 15 to 30 seconds.

What Is an RDA?

An RDA is a better device for cloud chasers because they produce substantially more vapor. Additionally, the liquid is dripped into the tank through the drip tip, which is more convenient, mainly because it is easier than opening a fill port.

Also, the user can switch between liquids easier than is the case with other tanks. However, the user has to drip new liquid inside every three or four puffs. That is not a pro or con, just the nature of the device.

What are the Differences Between RBA, RDA and RDTA and How to Choose the Right One

  • The main difference between these atomizers is that RDTA has a tank, and the RDA does not.
  • Other than that, there is not that much of a difference between them.
  • They both allow users to build their own coils and produce very high levels of vapor.

As for choosing the right one, that all depends on what the user wants. Vapers who want a tank should get the RDTA, while vapers who do not mind dripping liquid directly onto the coils should get an RDA.

Choosing the best atomizer mostly depends on the device and its build quality. Some RDA devices and RDTAs are better than others. Be sure to read reviews and watch video reviews of different products to get the best.

Closing Thoughts on Getting an RBA Vape

Getting an RBA is one of the best decisions an experienced vapor can make. These atomizers take vaping to a whole new level because of their superior cloud production and customizability. There are also different types of RBAs so that vapers are sure to find whatever they are looking for. Just keep in mind that buying one of the atomizers requires basic knowledge of electricity and that making a coil can be challenging.
