The Advken Manta RTA is a simple, rebuildable tank atomizer. The Advken features a slim 24mm diameter. At the same time, it can hold a maximum of 4.5ml of e-liquid with a glass bubble expander.

The Manta RTA mod kit comes with a standard straight glass piece that can hold 3ml of e-liquid. There are versions of the tank that also come with all-resin glass sections. That sections are also expansion pieces. The Advken Manta RTA kits also feature a removable 810, all-ULTEM drip tip-up top, and a removable top cap for easy filling.

The build deck inside uses a staggered post design. It has four separate lead terminals to accommodate single and vape dual- coil builds.

A Closer Look at the Manta RTA

The Advken Manta RTA kits have a simple design and appearance. Most of the tank kits consist of the large glass-tank section. It almost doubles in size with the glass extender piece. The top cap and base are both stainless steel, and the tank measures close to 35mm (1.3”) in height (without the drip tip). The diameter at the base is close to 24mm (0.9”).

The Manta RTA measures only 23mm- onto the mods coil builds. It also included the pre-installed glass section.

What’s in the Box

The Manta RTA products come in a simple cardboard box bearing the manta products logo. The company’s brand is located across the front. The Advken mods come with the straight, 3ml glass pre-installed. The second glass piece comes packaged in plastic under the foam tray. There are also use some tools to help with building and mounting vape coils.

  • One x Bubble Glass Piece
  • One x Coil Screwdriver
  • One x Bag of Parts & O-Rings-6

Build Deck

The build deck is one of the most important elements of any RTA kits. The one on the Manta RTA pod has an interesting configuration. The Manta RTA boasts a gold-plated, two-post staggered deck. It features four separate lead terminals measuring 3mm each (0.11”). The two bottom lead terminals are designed for larger, mods dual-coil builds. The top two terminals can fit smaller, but more complicated single coil builds.

The leads are secured in place with easily accessible side screws. A small opening between the two posts allows for better use and transfer of air from one side to the other. So every vape coil build is properly ventilated. There are also four independent juice intake wells placed at the bottom of the deck. Users can branch out their wicks into a larger size.

Mounting the Coils

The Manta RTA has enough room to accommodate several mod coil types and builds. It is probably best to replace the pre-installed, straight glass with the expander. It will allow you to use more e-juice capacity, so you do not have to refill it constantly. The provided tool/screwdriver is included in the Manta pod kit. It can help with wrapping the vape coils if you do not already have the right tools to get pod coils ready.

The fact that the posts are not flat. It is on a floating deck, also makes mounting any build easy, even for new builders. The juice wells’ placement also makes it easy to extend the wicks down into the wells. They are on each side of the deck, so they are not hard to access. The airflow channels are also designed to hit the mod coils directly. So it no matters where they are positioned.

How the Manta Vapes

The Advken Manta RTA can handle any style of pod coil that a user mounts onto the deck. It can easily take fused Claptons or staggered Claptons, or any types of stainless steel wire. The products work better with the larger capacity glass piece than the pre-installed one. The reasons were already mentioned (cuts down on refills).

The rest of the vape tank works very well. The airflow that gets into the pod tank and the build deck section is excellent. The airflow pulls away flavor from the wicks. Delivering sufficient cloud cover even at lower wattages or temperatures. The way the juice wells are positioned. Users stuff a lot of wick material into them without acting as a dam that keeps juice out of the well.

The one thing that brings down the RTA’s performance is the heat transfer. When vaping in temperature control or high wattages, anything above 100W or 450F. The Manta’s pod metal parts, like the base and top cap, can get very hot. The ULTEM mouthpiece is a good safeguard. But its short size means that users may accidentally brush up against the top cap. Ouch!

My way of understanding the significance of vaping came not only through the disruption of smoking but its effects on society as a whole. Now I bring people to vaping and bring vaping to people. I love using new gear, writing in-depth reviews and generally nerding out about vaping to like-minded people.
