Some people believe RDAs are too complex, so they do not buy them. But that is not the case with all rebuildable atomizers. Many are very simple to use, such as the Alexa S24 RDA. Additionally, it provides an excellent vaping experience for everyone.

Read on to learn more about how it performs.

The Ultimate Augvape Alexa S24 RDA Review

augvape alexa s24 rda review

The Alexa S24 RDA is a squonk-compatible rebuildable drip atomizer with many really good things going for it. It is 24 mm in diameter, and it supports single coil configurations. Additionally, it has excellent airflow that is perfect for mouth-to-lung vaping, and the building quality is superb. It also compares favorably with its competitors.

There are a few issues with the device but nothing too serious.

What Is Inside the Kit?

  • Atomizer
  • Squonk pin
  • Extra post screws
  • Two o-rings
  • 810 drip tip (pre-installed)
  • 510 drip tip adapter
  • Alen key

It would have been nice if the kit included a spare coil or two. But for some reason, Augvape did not include one. Other RDA manufacturers include a coil in the kit. So why did these guys not do the same?

Build Quality and Design

augvape alexa s24 rda design

This RDA has a very excellent build quality and design. There is a nice-looking pre-installed 810 drip tip that fits perfectly. Taking it on and off is hassle-free. A huge plus is a 510 drip tip adapter for those who prefer the 510.

The top cap also fits well, coming on and off effortlessly. Just pull it off to access the build deck and push it back when ready.

Another good thing worth mentioning is the screws. The threading is smooth on all of them, including the squonk pin. No issues with cross-threading or anything else.

Nothing wrong with the outer design. It is short in stature and is available in solid colors. No branding either.

There are a few cons, but they are not related to the build quality. But they had to be written down somewhere, so why not here?

The foam in the package has glue or something on it. It gets stuck to the top cap and is hard to get off. Also, there was no user manual in our package. Maybe that was a one-time thing, and every other package has a manual, but manuals must be included in every box.

The Build Deck

The build deck is easy to use. It consists of four holes and screws, accommodating a single coil. Where the screws meet the deck, there are tiny slots where the ends of the coils slide into. Those slots are a good addition because they let the user know where the leads should be.

Airflow

augvape alexa s24 rda airflow

The airflow is double slotted, with one slot on each side of the build deck. The airflow control ring is not 360, but it opens and closes fully.

Hits can range from really open to restrictive, depending on how open the slots are. The drags are smooth in either setting, but they are loud. The noise from the airflow is because it is slotted and not honeycombed.

If the airflow is tightened, it makes for a decent restrictive lung hit. It is nothing like a mouth-to-lung hit, but it is still pretty good. However, the best airflow settings are wide and half-open.

Vapor Production

Vapor production is incredibly high. Expect to blow clouds big enough to shroud yourself in a dense layer of fog. Usually, it takes two or three exhales to get all the vapor out of the lungs. People who love blowing large clouds are going to love this device.

How to Use the Augvape Alexa S24 RDA

Since the build deck is simple, the whole thing is easy to use. Follow these steps to get started:

  1. Pull the top cap off.
  2. Loosen the screws on the build deck and insert the coil. Both leads should go into slots across and diagonal from one another.
  3. Tighten the screws and use a rod to make sure the coil is directly over the juice well.
  4. Fire the coil until it burns completely red with no dark spots.
  5. Wick the coil with cotton when it cools down. Trim the cotton, comb it, and then tuck both ends into the juice well.
  6. Connect the RDA to the battery and then push the squonk button to push juice into the well.
  7. Drip some e-liquid onto the coil and wait five to ten minutes for the cotton to fully absorb all of the liquid.
  8. When ready to vape, put the top cap on and start vaping.

There is one thing to be aware of when squonking with this RDA. If the squonking button on the mod is pushed too hard, the liquid will leak out. So go light on that button, or there will be a big mess.

If the leaking is too much to deal with, the atomizer can be refilled by dripping liquid through the 810 drip tip.

Competing Rebuildable Atomizers

Augvape Alexa S24 RDA vs Damn Vape Nitrous RDA

The Damn Vape Nitrous RDA is a good device too. It is slightly smaller in diameter, so it is better on a smaller vape, but it is by no means a slouch when it comes to producing high levels of flavor and vapor.

The most significant difference between the Alexa and the Nitrous is that the Nitrous supports single and double coil builds. It has two coils in the kit (the Alexa kit has none), including an impressive 1.45 ohm Clapton coil that is good for mouth-to-lung.

Airflow is another big difference between these devices. The Nitrous has honeycombed airflow slots, making it less noisy than the Alexa.

One more thing worth pointing out is the Nitrous’s drip tip. It is not better than the Alexa’s, but it tapers inward and feels very comfortable.

Augvape Alexa S24 RDA vs Vandy Vape Requiem RDA

vandy vape requiem rda

The Vandy Vape Requiem is another alternative RDA worth looking at because it has MTL, RDL, and RL top caps. It is excellent for restrictive and mouth-to-lung vaping, but not so much for direct-to-lung vaping. It feels more like a restrictive lung than a direct lung, so that means the designers did not make the airflow wife enough on that top cap.

Still, it provides solid restrictive and mouth-to-lung hits and is worth getting for those reasons.

Pros&Cons

The Positives

  • Easy to use

The Negatives

  • No coils in the kit
  • No manual either in the kit either

Final Thoughts About the Augvape Alexa S24 RDA

The Augvape Alexa S24 is a solid RDA that is worth every penny.

The best thing about it is the build quality and the deck. The quality of the build is outstanding. No issues there whatsoever. And those screws and pins go in like clockwork. As for the deck, it is simple to build on, making it great for people who have never used an RDA.

There is also the flavor and high cloud production, not to mention the open airflow that results in very deep direct-to-lung drags. Yes, it is a bit loud, but it is slotted airflow, so the noise comes with the territory.

The only area where the RDA needs to be faulted is the lack of some essential things in the kit. There is no coil or manual. The lack of a coil with the kit is understandable, but not the manual. RDAs require manuals because they are more complex than box or pod mods.

Other than that, this RDA is rock solid. Please let us know what you think about it by commenting below.
