The Phantom Herbal Vaporizer from CloudV is a comparably affordable herbal vaporizer that delivers in terms of visible vapor, ease of use, and durability. This kit is for newbies to dry herb vaping, as well as advanced vapers who want a long-lasting, portable, and sleek herb vaporizer for when they are out and about. It does not have a variable voltage option and still has a few things that need tweaking, but, all in all, the vape quality was superior for its size and price.

Cloud V Phantom At First Glance

Design

Unboxing the Phantom Herbal Vaporizer, we were impressed with how sleek and compacted the whole thing looks. It comes out of an equally elegant packaging and has a slightly smaller size compared to other portable herbal vaping kits. The body has a textured grip that makes it easier to hold and keep in place while the cap of the battery is metal with a black finish and a tight and good fit on the threading.

If you simply look at the unit, you will quickly assume that it is a solid device that will last for years. Out of the whole unit, the mouthpiece was made of plastic and did not feel durable as the rest of the vaporizer. Then again, the design all-in-all is smooth and pleasing to the eye, but not too loud unlike mods and larger vape kits out there. It’s a great kit to upgrade to if you prefer cig-a-likes and discreet vape pens.

Build Quality

Cloud V Phantom

The battery and herb chamber are both strong in build and perfectly fits together. As mentioned, the mouthpiece was the least resilient as you look at the kit since it is made of plastic. Then again, that is based on our first impression, and there are no underestimating these materials.

Vaping Experience With Cloud V Phantom

Usability

The Phantom Herbal Vaporizer is free from the complexities of having to adjust temperatures and voltages, removing coils and rebuilding them. It is free from all the things that take a lot of time and effort when operating and maintaining an herbal vape kit. This model from CloudV is simple and straightforward to use—just fill the chamber, return the mouthpiece to cover, and press the button thrice to start vaping. The heating time is as short as a minute or two.

The Phantom has a blue light on the button that glows when the temperature has reached the right vaping level, which is at 428 degrees Fahrenheit. Once it is ready, you can begin taking draws from the vaporizer without having to press the button each time. Every two minutes, it automatically shuts off to prevent overheating and burnt taste.

Changing from one material to another and emptying the chamber did not take too much effort. Then again, the filter gets clogged with the herb, which is quite a common issue among herbal vaporizers. This small downside is resolved by, well, replacing the filter itself . As you vape more, the pull became less and less powerful due to the clog.

Vapor Production and Performance

As the heating chamber prevents combustion and saves you from harmful emissions, the Phantom Herbal Vaporizer does its work in producing a good amount of vapor even from the smallest amount of herb. There is no variable temperature setting; nonetheless the vapor quality is satisfying—something that a dedicated vaper would admire from such a portable device.

Cloud V Phantom Black

A few cons about the Phantom Herbal Vaporizer are the filter that easily gets clogged, as well as the mouthpiece that gets a little too warm. Also, there was a slight burnt taste towards the end of a vaping round—probably the small amount of herbs being consumed by the kit until ‘ the last drop’. The chamber does hold a pretty good amount of dry herbs, up to 0.3g per refill. Just make sure not to overstuff the chamber as it will prevent you from making pulls out of the mouthpiece, or the heating chamber simply won’t be able to vaporize your material.

Battery Life and Atomizers

Battery life with the Phantom Herbal Vaporizer got even better when CloudV started including two 18500 batteries in the kit a month or so after it was first released. Each battery should be charged for no less than six hours after being unpacked This small downside is resolved by, well, replacing the filter itself. . When done correctly, the battery life usually lasts for three to four continuous sessions, and there you have it—a spare battery that lasts the same period for the best possible vaping experience

Cloud V Phantom Review Additional Details

For advanced vapers who are experienced in vaping other herbal vaporizers out there, it should be good to note that the only temperature setting (like in the temperature control mods) on this kit is on the higher side of the spectrum. For other vaporizers, the lower temperature option usually gives out the best vape quality.

The Phantom Herbal Vaporizer also requires strict and regular cleaning as to maintain its functionality and enhance the kit’s longevity. To do so, it must be cleaned after every use, starting by deactivating the vaporizer (three quick clicks). Wait for about 30 minutes for the device to cool down. When ready, remove the mouthpiece and use the tools to empty the chamber. Use the cleaning brush to rid of small leftovers inside the chamber.

As with the mouthpiece and the filter, CloudV recommends using the brush and a damp cloth to wipeoff anything that clogs the filter. Some users, though, use a Q-Tip for the filter.

My way of understanding the significance of vaping came not only through the disruption of smoking but its effects on society as a whole. Now I bring people to vaping and bring vaping to people. I love using new gear, writing in-depth reviews and generally nerding out about vaping to like-minded people.
