Open Vape Review: Stylish and Portable Vapes for 2021
Open Vape is a vaping company based out of Denver, Colorado that sells vaping devices all across the United States, Europe, and other parts of the world. Thanks to the quality of its products, such as well-known Open Vape 2.0, they are quickly becoming one of the world’s leading vape companies.
The company is also leading the charge for changes in state and federal marijuana laws in the United States, founding organizations that lobby on behalf of marijuana and its users.
The company was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado. It aimed to produce and distribute herbal extract vaporizers and cartridges. Since its founding, the company has created a distribution network that covers vast swathes of the United States and Europe, as well as Jamaica, South Africa, and Canada.
Ralph Morgan, the company’s CEO, cares very much about the quality of the company’s products, that is why they use a proprietary supercritical CO2 extraction process to make cannabis oil. Thanks to this quality extraction process, the company has won first place for Best Vape Pen Cartridge in the High Times’s 2016 Cannabis Cup competition in Colorado. Customers think highly of these devices as well, as evidenced by their sale of hundreds of thousands of items per month.
The company is one of the founding members of the National Cannabis Industry Association. As one of the organization’s most outspoken voices, they advocate for greater access to medical and recreational marijuana. The founders of this company believe that marijuana should be legalized so that it can be used safely without any fear of repercussions from law enforcement.
The Open vape 2.0 is a versatile little mod. It can vaporize waxes and oils, and it is compatible with a variety of cartridges. There are not a lot of mods that do as much as this one can, which makes it perfect for vapers who do not want to buy several vapes for different purposes.
Its battery lasts three to four hours, which is pretty good for such a small pen. It uses a USB plug to recharge. Once plugged in, the battery will recharge in 20 to 30 minutes. The ability of this pen to recharge quickly is one of its best features.
The battery has three variable voltage settings when a cartridge is used, but the lowest voltage settings, 2.4 and 3.2, work best for vaping with oil. The vapor is smoother and more flavorful. Once the pen is set to 4.0 volts, the vapor gets harsh. But, the advantage of the higher settings is that the user can exhale larger and hotter clouds.
The lights flash several colors. Purple is for 2.4 volts, red 3.2, and green 4.0. When the light is blue, the vape is set for vaping concentrates at 4.0 volts. If the light is flashing, that means it needs to be recharged. If it flashes red, there is a connection issue, and a white light means there is a problem with the airflow.
How to Use the Open Vape 2.0?
Like most pen devices, there is not a significant learning curve. One glance at the instructions, and the user will know everything he or she needs to know. To get started, screw the cartridge into the battery, and then press the stylus tip five times to activate it. Pressing it two times allows the user to cycle his or her way through the variable voltage settings. Pressing down once on the stylus tip puts it into the wax mode. The user can also inhale to turn it on.
The KandyPens Slim is similar in terms of size and shape, making them both excellent pens for on the go vaping. They are also both 510 threaded, so they are compatible with a variety of cartridges. The key difference is in the settings.
The KandyPens Slim is purely draw-activated. The 2.0 is draw activated as well, but it can also be turned on by pressing the stylus. Also, the 2.0 has adjustable settings, and the KandyPens Slim does not.
Open Vape 2.0 vs. MigVapor EGO-EVOD E-Cig Battery
The EGO-EVOD is a 900 mAh battery that puts out 3.7 volts of output. Unfortunately, that is all it does. Even though the 2.0’s battery is not as robust, it does have more voltage settings than its competitor. Also, it is compatible with more cartridges.
The EGO-EVOD is only compatible with Mig Vapor SR-72, UFO-V2, and X-v vaporizer tanks only. Also, while the EGO-EVOD is cheaper, it does not come with a charger, which is highly inconvenient.
Final Impressions about Open Vape
This is an excellent company, not only because of their products but because they are a pioneering influence in the marijuana industry. As a member of the National Cannabis Industry Association, they are in a position to affect positive changes in the industry and the law. Their work will make it easier in the future for users to get medical and recreational weed.
One should not forget about their outstanding stock, especially the Open Vape 2.0. The settings allow users to vary their voltage, which is more than can be said for other devices. The only bad thing about this device is that it does not work very well when heating waxes. Hopefully, they will fix this issue if they come out with a third model.
