The YiHi SX mini mods are popular in the vaping community. This is due to their high-quality construction and state of the art chipsets. Each time YiHi produces a new generation of chips, there is always an accompanying mod with it. Similarly, the SX mini Q Class serves as an introduction to the SX450J chip. Additionally, this is the first time a YiHi SX mini mod features dual battery. It really boosts the battery life. At the same time, it allows the user to power up the device to a whopping 200 watts. The mod is available for purchase at $200.

What’s New

YiHi introduces its first ever 200 Watt device integrated with the SX450J chip. Reputable for the quality materials they use and advanced chipsets, the Q Class mod guarantees a sensational vaping experience. They ensure maximum precision through the support for an array of temperature control wires.

Also, you get in materials like titanium, nickel and stainless steel. The stunning OLED screen allows vapers to customize and flash personalized logos and menu titles. As a result, it will balance the sophistication of the device with some fun. It requires two 18650 batteries to power up the massive output of 200W. An exchangeable battery cover holds them in place.

What is the Design Behind the YiHi SX Mini Q Class?

The build quality as stated before is superb. It is on par with the high standard set by the mods in the YiHi SX Mini range. These buttons click pleasantly without any stickiness or clattering and the batteries fit snugly.

The doors covering them are also quite solid and don’t bend even slightly. The magnets holding the doors in place are strong. In other mods, battery doors are a point of annoyance. However, with the SX Mini, you don’t need a lot of effort to pry them off. The only small annoyance is that the doors shift when you grip the product tightly. Otherwise, all the other times, the door fits perfectly and there aren’t any visible gaps.

How Does the YiHi SX Mini Q Class Perform?

This mod performs best when in power mode. Other than this, all the modes act just as they should. They provide the extra control over how you get the mod to reach the power level you want.

The temperature control mode is simply out of this world. I am partial towards using the SS316L wire for temperature control. To be honest, it is quite a finicky wire. You might experience these issues with certain chips. They have a hard time retaining the same temperature with the SS316L wire. However, the temperature stays steady on this mod. In addition, you won’t get any quirks or fluctuations.

In everyday use, the modes on the SXi-Q are great and work well. This is if you set the modes up correctly. The vape experience is definitely much better. A word of advice, be careful not to allow dramatic surges in the power level. This is because it may affect the quality of the vape and make the experience bumpy.

Cool Additional Features

Did you know that you can personalize the power curves and logo on the screen using the additional SXi software? This is a feature that we find really cool on the YiHi SX Mini Q Class. The same features were also present in the ML class but you needed an update before you could do this. However, with the Q class, you can start using these functions straight out of the box. The software is not the most user-friendly but is pretty basic. Once you read the instructions, you will know what to do.

The SXi-Q utility offers five various power curves to users. You will find them in the configurations range S1-S5. This is a really simple yet effective feature. It allows the vaper to control the way the juice tastes. Admittedly, it is a feature for the more advanced users. However, it does have some shortcomings. The biggest is that you can’t adjust the wattage while using one of the powered curves.

Furthermore, I personally prefer that they display the power level in percentages rather than arbitrary numbers. I just think that this would offer better flexibility. Another minor shortcoming is the fact that you can only tweak the power levels by a single watt. Usually, in standard power modes, you can adjust it in one tenth of a watt increments.

Creating your own logo is also a fun feature on the YiHi SX Mini Q Class. You can import the images onto the device using the SXi software. Then, you can customize and display them on every part of the screen except at start-up. It displays the SX Mini logo at that time.

This One’s For You If…

The YiHi SX Mini Q Class is another strike for the outstanding lineup of SX Mini mods. The SX Q Class is just a bigger version of all other SX Mini mods. With two 18650 batteries, it is the largest device and has its highest wattage at 200 watts.

Despite all this, the SX450J chip isn’t much of a significant upgrade. This is because it doesn’t come with the features from the latest firmware update. We enjoyed the previous versions of the SX Mini mods but we weren’t happy with their battery.

If you also felt this way, then, the SX Mini Q Class is right for you. We are guessing that you didn’t get the previous YiHi SX Mini mod because 75 watts wasn’t adequate. At 200 Watts, maybe you should consider this mod.

My way of understanding the significance of vaping came not only through the disruption of smoking but its effects on society as a whole. Now I bring people to vaping and bring vaping to people. I love using new gear, writing in-depth reviews and generally nerding out about vaping to like-minded people.
