The Vapefly Brunhilde SBS is a 100 watt starter kit that uses the 3S chipset. It is paired with the Kriemhild II tank, which holds a high amount of liquid and comes with two low resistance coils that are ideal for producing vapor.
The device is expensive but worth buying because of the amazing build quality and various other features.

What Is It Like to Vape the Brunhilde SBS?
The first thing everyone should notice is how comfortable this device is when picking it up. Its oval shape fits hands and pockets perfectly.
There are quite a few vapes out there with boxy designs with sharp corners that are very uncomfortable; thankfully, the designers did not build this vape in such a fashion.
The flavor is very good and consistent, and it hits very well, thanks to the 3S chipset. It is a simple chipset, but it gets the job done. The hits are good with either coil and both vape best between 50 and 55 watts. The vapor is not too hot, too cold either, at these settings.
Vapor Production
Vapor production is very high with both coils, and there is no discernable difference between either of them in this category. To get an enormous cloud, vape with the airflow all the way open.
Power Modes
Choose between three vaping modes: variable wattage, bypass, and temperature control modes.
Safety Features
- Short Circuit Protection
- Reverse Battery Protection
- Over-Current Protection
- High Temperature Protection
- Overcharge Protection
- 10 Second Cut-Off
Opening the Vapefly Brunhilde SBS Kit
This starter kit comes with a lot. There are:
- the mod
- tank
- coils
- o a 18650 battery adapter
- type-c charger
- an accessory pack.
Also included are a glass tube, warranty card, and a user manual.
Internal Build Quality and Design
The build quality is high, and it feels sturdy and robust. What people are going to like most about the box mod is that it will not leave fingerprints. It looks like that at first when looking at the pictures, but the grip is sandblasted, so do not worry about that.
There is a little bit of rattling in the mod if shaken, but under normal use, the user should not notice it.
One thing to keep in mind is that it is very easy to cover the airflow holes when holding the mod because of its size. This is not a con (the small size is a significant advantage), but something to be aware of to avoid any surprise restricted hits.
Battery Performance
This device is compatible with 18650, 20700, and 21700 batteries, but it is best to get the bigger sized batteries, as it only uses one cell.
Battery life on this device is not bad below 60 watts, but the higher the wattage, the shorter the vaping time. But, on anything less, expect it to last all day.
Screen and Battery Life Indicator
The screen is simple, but it works and is easy to read. It shows the battery life on the left margin and from left-to-right, resistance, voltage, and the wattage setting.
Also, the screen is located on the bottom, which is rather odd, but it is likely that there was nowhere else to put it.
The Kriemhild II Tank
The tank is 25 mm in diameter (zero overhang) and has 4 to 5 ml juice capacity, depending on what glass is being used. Also, the glass is Pyrex, so it will not break very easily, and the surrounding metal is stainless steel.
It has bottom airflow and a smooth airflow control ring. There are three airflow slots, and it is very smooth. Also, it is not loud, although there is a little bit of noise because there are three slots instead of one or two.
At the top, there is a quarter-turn fill system that works like a dream. It is excellent that this tank is not bottom-filled. Finally, as indicated, the tank is compatible with 510 and 810 drip tips.
One thing to note about the tank is how easily the coils go in and out. The user can pull them out by gripping them with the fingers, and it is not necessary to pry them out using a knife, fingernails, or any other tool.
Compatible Juices
The starter kit comes with low resistance coils, so it is best to use liquids with a 70/30 or 80/20 vegetable glycerin to propylene glycol ratio. This mixture will produce more clouds.
Coils
The tank uses 0.2 and 0.3 ohm FreeCore mesh coils. The 0.2 ohm coil has excellent flavor and produces high amounts of clouds. 50 watts wide open airflow is also good for the 0.3 ohm coil.
Users also have the option of getting an RBA. It fits a single coil and is very easy to mount. Customers should get it in addition to the starter kit. It would have been nice if they had included the RBA in the kit.
How Long Do the Brunhilde SBS Coils Last?
The coils will last a long time if used with the liquids specified above. Also, they must be primed and given enough time to soak in the liquid before vaping. Doing this will ensure they last a week or longer.
How to Use the Vapefly Brunhilde SBS Mod
This starter kit is easy to use and put together.
- First, prime the coil and insert it into the base of the tank.
- From there, the user can slide the top cap counterclockwise and refill it with nicotine liquid, and then close it by turning it clockwise.
- Screw the tank into the 510 connection, and the device is ready to be vaped.
Button Combination
- Five clicks turn it on/off
- Three clicks to switch between the different vaping modes
- Press and hold the fire button and minus button to flip the display
- Press and hold the plus and minus buttons to lock the device
Competing Products
Vapefly Brunhilde SBS Mod vs. Galaxies MTL RTA
The Brunhilde SBS mod is a good vape for people who like direct-to-lung hits, but the Galaxies MTL RTA is a good alternative for people who also want mouth-to-lung devices.
The Galaxies device comes with 0.5 and 0.6 ohm coils, and it has a tube design that makes it more portable and ergonomic than the Brunhilde SBS.
Its tank does not hold as much juice, but it does not have to since the vape only goes to 25 watts.
Vapefly Brunhilde SBS Mod vs. Eleaf Pico Squeeze
The Pico Squeeze from Eleaf is a side-by-side squonk mod that comes with a 0.15 ohm coil that makes it an excellent device for cloud production. Its primary disadvantage is that it is only compatible with 18650 batteries.
The Brunhilde SBS is compatible with a full range of batteries. These are both great devices for cloud chasers, but the Brunhilde SBS is a slightly better device for people who want more battery options.
