The Nunchaku vape starter kit is a stainless steel constructed tube mod with a power range of five to 80w. It has a well-functioning control panel that makes using it as safe and easy as it is with a box mod. It has multiple power modes, including temperature control for nickel and stainless steel coil.

The tank holds 5 ml of e-juice, and the coils are easy to put in the vape since they are plug and pull. A replaceable 18650 battery powers the vape, and the batteries can be charged while they are inside.

Uwell Nunchaku Review of Their 80 Watt Mod

The Nunchaku’s namesake is a handheld weapon used by warriors from Okinawa. The ergonomic form of the Nunchaku makes holding this device very comfortable despite the fact it is slightly heavier than other mods. The tapered ends of the device give it a complete look that complements the tank very well.

The vape starter kit is easy to operate, having advanced displays and controls. The controls and screen are positioned at the bottom of the device.

The features built into this device are definitely something to write home about. The tanks hold a large amount of e-juice, and the battery has power mode, temperature control, and bypass mode. The plug and play coils are easy to use and replace, increasing the convenience of the vape by many magnitudes. Vapers who have been looking for a device with high functionality that is easy to use will appreciate the Nunchuck.

Uwell Nunchaku Review - 80w Starter Kit

The vape starter kit comes with the mod and atomizer, as well as a pre-installed 0.25-ohm coil and a replacement 0.4-ohm coil.

A replacement glass is also included in the vape kit. Customers will also find a pack of o-rings, a USB charging cable, a drip tip cover, and a user manual.

Internal Building Quality and Design

The vape kit is constructed from stainless steel, copper, silicon, and quartz glass. The device holds together very well, so there are no complaints about the quality of the build. As for the design, there are no complaints there, either. The rounded shape of the exterior makes vaping comfortable and convenient. It is sort of like lifting a light dumbbell to your lips!

Only one area needs to be improved in this category, which is the battery cap. Sometimes it was difficult to get on and off. This made the testers feel like the batteries were not securely in the mod. After a few days of taking it on and off, the cap smoothed out and felt more secure.

Uwell Nunchaku Review of the Battery

The major disadvantage that comes with using this vape mod is the low battery life. The starter kit uses a single battery that lasts three hours, four hours tops depending on the wattage and mode.

Luckily, the Nunchaku starter kit is USB rechargeable, or else the user would eventually spend more on batteries than on the mod.

How Does the Tank Perform?

The sub-ohm vape tank performs marvelously. It is 25 mm in diameter, it holds 5 ml of e-juice, and its coils produce excellent flavor when vaped at low wattages. The starter kit replacement coils also produce a lot of vapor, which will make cloud chasers happy. Of all these selling points, the fact that it provides excellent flavor on low wattages is the best one. The main reason to use this mod and tank is to suck excellent flavor off the proprietary coils.

It is worth noting that the two coils are indistinguishable from one another unless they are fired up to extremely high wattages. There did not seem to be any point in having two coils for a low voltage mod.

Uwell Nunchaku Review - How to Use the Kit?

The top screws off to reveal a fairly large fill port. Use a syringe or needle-nosed bottle to refill it. Screw the top back on. A cover comes with it that can be put on top of the drip tip. To replace the coil, screw the bottom off the tank. Pull the coil out and replace it by pushing the new one in. Before putting in a new coil, make sure to saturate the inside with e-juice.

Unscrew the cap beneath the view screen to insert the batteries and then put the cap back on. Once the battery is in, the device turns on. Push the firing button three times and then press the adjustment buttons to cycle through the power settings. Hold down the adjustment buttons to cycle through the wattage. Hold the firing and up buttons simultaneously to lock the settings. Holding the down and up button locks the entire mod.

Vaping Instructions

After the mod is put together and the coils are primed and in the tank, fire it up. Press the firing button, put it to the lips, and then inhale. Simple as that.

Uwell Nunchaku vs. Nunchaku 2

The Nunchaku 2 vape kit is Uwell’s upgrade to the original version. It understandably has better features and performance. It goes up to 100 watts, and it has better battery life. Expect to get five to seven hours of vaping time. Appearance-wise, both devices look identical, save for the shape of the glass.

VD Uwell Nunchaku 2

The Nunchaku 2 has a bubble replacement glass, and the original has standard straight glass. Both of these mods are outstanding, but those wanting improvements should choose the updated version.

Competing Products

Uwell Nunchaku vs. Freemax Twister

These are both tube style vape mods, but there are several differences. One, the Freemax Twister starter kit has graffiti painted all over it that looks somewhat cartoonish.

FreeMax Twister 80W

The graffiti is a little too much, and those who want something more conservative-looking will like the Nunchaku kit better. They fire to 80w, but the difference is that the wattage in the Freemax kit is set with a dial. Also, the Freemax kit has a built-in battery.

Uwell Nunchaku vs. iJoy Saber

The Saber vape starter kit is also a tube-type mod, and it has a clean exterior similar to that of the Nunchaku. There are two major differences, though. As with the Freemax kit, the Saber kit goes up to 100 watts, giving users 20 more watts of power than they will get out of the Nunchaku kit.

VD iJoy Saber

Another significant difference is that the Saber kit, with its bubble replacement glass, holds more e-juice.

The Negatives

  • Low battery life

Final Words about the Uwell Nunchaku

The Nunchaku starter kit is a decent device that produces the excellent flavor and huge, puffy clouds of vapor. It is easy to use, clean, and take apart. But, this being an older mod, there are better and newer options out there, including the Nunchaku 2, and for far less money, too. But, it does its job, and it is an all-around cool mod.
