The Uwell Aeglos H2 is a 60w pod capable of handling mouth-to-lung and direct-to-lung vaping thanks to the pod’s unique mesh coils.
Additionally, it has a powerful battery, OLED screen, high juice capacity, and a slim profile that makes it both portable and comfortable to hold.
This is the perfect starter kit for vapers who want a pod mod with MTL and DTL capacity.

What Is It Like to Vape the Uwell Aeglos H2 Pod Mod?
The Uwell Aeglos H2 is a joy to use for several reasons. First, there is the vape’s profile, which is slim and thin, making it comfortable to hold and easy to transport in a pocket or purse.
It also delivers tremendously high levels of flavor thanks to the mesh coils in the starter kit. There is nothing wrong with the vaping experience whatsoever.
For a pod mod, the Aeglos H2 produces a reasonably high amount of vapor. It does not produce as much as an RBA/RDTA, but compared to other pod mods, this is a cloud-producing machine.
This vape has power mode. Other than this mode, the vape has nothing else.

Internal Build Quality and Design
The vape is made from zinc alloy, which is very durable, so do not expect it to break easily. All the parts fit together perfectly, and there is no rattling or wiggling of anything on the mod. The pod is magnetically connected to the vape, and it stays on pretty well.
One criticism about the design is the location of the USB port. It is located underneath the mod. It has to be laid on its side to charge, which can cause it to scratch.
Uwell Aeglos H2 Battery Performance
The Aeglos H2 uses an integrated 1,500 mah battery. This is the perfect battery for a 60 watt device. Depending on how often the pod is used and the wattage settings, it can last most of the day or longer.
The vape has a 0.96 inch OLED display screen. It is a simple screen without fifty different colors and menus.
At the top, the battery life is displayed, followed by the wattage in the center, voltage, coil, timer, and a puff counter at the bottom. The screen can be a little hard to read in broad daylight.
The Aeglos H2 Pod
The pod holds 4.5 ml of nicotine liquid, which is a huge advantage. Pods and tanks that can vape at low resistances and high temperatures should have a minimum juice capacity of 4 ml.
5 ml would have been better, but 4.5 ml is not that bad.
The pod has adjustable airflow so that the user can switch between MTL and DTL hits. The fill ports are located at the bottom, which is a con.
Bottom fill ports are inconvenient because the pod has to be removed to refill it. What is even more aggravating is that the original’s fill port was located at the top.
Another inconvenient thing is the drip tip. It is part of the pod. It would have been a lot better had Uwell made it compatible with replaceable 510 drip tips.
Uwell Aeglos H2 Coils
The starter kit comes with a 0.18 ohm coil and a 1.2 ohm coil. This is the best of both worlds because the user can switch from MTL to DTL at any time.
- The 0.18 ohm coil is best with the airflow all the way open to halfway closed.
- For the 1.2 ohm coil, close that airflow down all the way for some very restrictive hits or a quarter of the way open for some loose MTL hits.
All-and-all, this set of coils is great. Excellent flavor and cloud production.
How Long Do the Coils Last?
The 0.18 ohm coil should be used with 80/20 or 70/30 vegetable glycerin to propylene glycol liquid, not anything lower than that. 80/20 and 70/30 liquids will guarantee high cloud production as well as longer coil life because these are thinner liquids.
The 1.2 ohm coil is for mouth-to-lung hits and does not burn as hot, so it can handle heavier 50/50 liquids.
Additionally, make sure to prime the coil before putting it into the pod, and give it plenty of time to absorb the juice before pushing the firing button. Priming the coils significantly reduces the chances of dry hits and thereby increases coil life.
How to Use the Uwell Aeglos H2 Pod Mod Starter Kit?
- First, prime the coil by dripping two or three drops of liquid into it, and then push it into the center of the pod, making sure it is firmly in place.
- Next, fill the pod by unplugging the silicone covering the bottom fill port.
- It is a wide fill port that can accommodate most nozzles, so there should be no problems with spilling.
- Close the port and give the coils five to ten minutes to absorb the liquid.
- Adjust the airflow by rotating the pod clockwise and counterclockwise.
- Five clicks on/off
- Click up and fire button to lock/unlock the device
- Click the down and fire button to lock the wattage
- Press the up and down buttons together to clear the puff counter
- Use the up and down buttons to scroll through the wattage
Competing Starter Kit Products
Uwell Aeglos H2 vs. Uwell Aeglos
It is hard to say whether the new version is better than the original. The Aeglos H2 has higher juice capacity, and the starter kit has lower and higher resistance coils.
But, the original Aeglos has a better drip tip, and it has a top fill port. Uwell should not have changed these features, especially the location of the fill port.
It would be better to go with the H2 on this one because the product is newer and has higher juice capacity, but it is hard to figure out why it comes with so many unnecessary changes.
Uwell Aeglos H2 vs. Smok Nord X
Despite its higher build quality and larger juice capacity, the Smok Nord X is not as good as the Aeglos H2.
The Nord X’s biggest con is that it does not have airflow control, and it is hard to see the point in
buying a starter kit that does not allow the user to have direct control over the airflow.
The Nord X’s only advantage, besides higher build and juice capacity, is its price; the device is around ten dollars cheaper.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does Uwell Aeglos H2 Pod Last?
The pod itself will last forever as long as the user is careful with it. It is not a disposable pod. As for the coils, they can last one to two weeks if they are used as specified above.
Which Coils Are Compatible With the Uwell Aeglos H2 Pod?
As far as is known, only the Aeglos coils are compatible with the pod. Fortunately, there are plenty of coils from which to choose.
In addition to the coils in the starter kit, there are also 0.2, 0.6, 0.8, and the 0.23 ohm coils.

Closing Thoughts on the Uwell Aeglos H2
This is a great pod mod for MTL and DTL vaping, and it has a superb outer design that makes it comfortable and convenient to vape. The only real con with this device is that the pod is filled from the bottom, especially when considering that the original model had its fill port located on top.
Bottom-filled pods and tanks are a pain to refill, and they tend to leak. A silicone tab covers this fill port, but they do not always work the way they should.
The drip tip would have been better if it had been replaceable, too. Also, the screen is a little bit dim in bright light, but that is not worth mentioning as a con.
Other than that, it is really hard to find anything to complain about here. It has a great set of coils that produce outstanding vapor and flavor, a pod with decent juice capacity, and pretty good battery life.
