iJoy RDTA Box Mini Review

The iJoy RDTA Box Mini is not only one of the most cool looking products on the market, but it has a lot of excellent functions, and the build quality is superb.

The first thing the user is going to notice is the mod’s ergonomic design and comfortable grip. The grip is textured to make sure it does not fall out of slippery hands. The inlays and grip are black, and they contrast very well with whatever color is chosen. The vape is available in yellow, white, and solid black. The color selection is limited, but what is available is pretty good.

Similar to its predecessor, this product has an all-in-one design consisting of an RDTA and a small RDTA mod, hence why it is called the RDTA Box Mini. What is more, the vape portion of the kit is 510 compatible, meaning it can fit most atomizers. The RDTA has an interchangeable build deck. The device has three buttons, which are the firing and adjustment buttons, and a bright OLED display is between them.

The RDTA section sports a Delrin drip tip and dual adjustable horizontal airflow that can be adjusted by rotating the top cap. Also, the juice reservoir can hold a large amount of liquid, more than a lot of other RDTAs. The juice reservoir is easy to refill thanks to the refilling ports that are angled. The flavor and clouds are off the charts thanks to the iJoy RDTA Box Mini coils.

The build quality of these products is excellent, too. The ijoy rdta box mini buttons are very clicky and responsive. There are no issues with rattling, and the connection between the tank and the vape is pretty solid. But, the icing on the cake is the Iwepal chipset, which allows the device to fire to 100 watts. It can handle a minimum of 0.05 resistance, and it has many vaping modes that can handle a variety of coils at multiple temperatures.

iJoy RDTA Box Mini 100w Kit

The kit comes with the mod and an interchangeable build deck. The deck has a C2 0.25-ohm vape coil pre-installed. Also included are a micro USB cable, screwdriver, an accessories bag, and a user manual.

iJoy RDTA Box Mini Battery

This vape is powered by a 2,600 mah battery that can last several hours. Depending on the settings, the battery can last well over a day. If used continuously throughout the day, the battery life diminishes somewhat.

The battery is removable. Two screws are at the bottom of the device, keeping the battery in place. The manufacturer recommends removing the battery if the device is not to be used for an extended period.

iJoy RDTA Box Mod Mini Tank

The starter kit comes with a 6 ml juice reservoir that can be removed easily by accessing the four Torx screws located at the top of the device. Users can replace the 6 ml tank with a 2 ml tank if they wish to do so, but the smaller tank does not come with the starter kit.

The tank sits on top of an interchangeable build deck. The deck arrives with a pre-installed RBM-C2 0.2-ohm coil head. A two-post velocity style deck is also included in the package.

How to Use the iJoy RDTA Box Mini

There are four modes from which the customer can select:

  • Norm Mode
  • Hard Mode
  • Soft Mode
  • User Mode

Norm mode maintains the set power levels, while hard and soft mode increases the power by 30 percent or lowers it 20 percent, respectively. In user mode, the power output can be customized.

The device also supports variable wattage, temperature control, and TCR mode. In variable wattage, the output can be changed from five to 100w using the adjustment buttons. Use kanthal and nichrome coils only in wattage mode. Temperature control mode supports Ni200 nickel, titanium, and stainless steel coils. To access this function, enter the main menu, choose the “T” setting, and then press the firing button. From here, select the appropriate mode.

TCR mode gives the user the ability to choose the settings in accordance with a coil’s TCR value. To enter this mode, open the menu and, again, select the “T” setting and press the firing button. Once this is done, choose M1 or M2 and press the firing button to confirm.

The firmware will have to be upgraded. To do this, connect the vape to a computer using the USB cord included in the started kit. Next, simultaneously press the two adjustment buttons and the firing button to start the upgrade. Release the adjustment buttons, and then the firing button. When this is done, the latest firmware update can be downloaded. When the software is upgraded, reset the mod by pressing the two adjustment buttons simultaneously.

Instructions for These Products

This guide is no substitute for reading the instructions. After unpacking the starter kit, take a good look through the manual to develop a deep understanding of the device, tank, and all of their functions. Knowing the device through-and-through helps prevent accidents or damage to the device and its user.

Biggest Competing Products

iJoy RDTA Mini Box Mod vs. GeekVape Aegis 100W

The GeekVape Aegis is also a 100w device, but there are a few differences of which readers should be aware. The main difference is that the Aegis uses 26650/18650 batteries, whereas the iJoy uses a built-in battery.

Another difference between these two mods is that it has incredible build quality. This device is shockproof, waterproof, and dustproof. The Aegis is more suitable for people who live very active lifestyles.

iJoy RDTA Mini Box Mod vs. Geekvape Aegis Solo

The GeekVape Aegis Solo is another 100w vape. Like the Aegis, it also runs on 18650 batteries, and it has the excellent build quality for which GeekVape mods are known.

The only problem with this product is that the wattage range is somewhat overstated. The single battery does not always handle such high wattages well. The iJoy, however, can hit every single watt.

Final Word on the iJoy RDTA Box Mini

The iJoy RDTA was a fun vape to use. The best features are the interchangeable build decks and the large tank. 100w might seem low to some people, especially when this vape is compared to 200w mods, but considering that a lot of people vape between 40 and 60 watts, the power output is more than adequate.

The only problem with this device is that when chain vaped, the battery does not last for a day. Instead, it will last for several hours at most, which is still not that bad. Besides that single issue, this vape is an excellent device, especially for users who like to use their own coil designs.
