The new Lost Vape Lyra pod vape is handy but not too small, and it is powered by a 1,000 mah battery that can last over a day before it needs to be recharged.

It holds 2 ml of e-liquid and is top filled via two filling slots located beneath the mouthpiece and under a rubber stopper. It heats the liquid with 0.6-ohm mesh and 1.2-ohm regular coils.

Lost Vape Lyra Review

Lyra is a small pod mod system that generates up to 20 watts of power. It is designed to be a portable and easy-to-use AIO pod, and it has an outstanding battery.

The first thing vapers will notice about this device and the pod is its ergonomic design and aesthetic appeal.

Lost Vape Lyra Review

The Lyra pod measures 96.3 mm x 30.8 mm x 15.8 mm, making it one of the smallest mods out there. It is easy to transport and can go in a backpack or purse, but its small size makes the vape better suited for jeans and shirt pockets.

As for appearance, it comes in many different colors and designs that incorporate genuine leather.

The device is powered by a 1,000 mah battery that can last up to a day and a half.

The Lyra gets its juice from a simple to use refillable pod system that incorporates a unique coil design. The pod is easy to refill, and the coil system is engineered to increase the quality of the airflow.

Most importantly, the flavor coming out of the pod is phenomenal. When the coils burn out, the user can replenish his or her supply by ordering a box of five coils! This box set is a very economical option that will benefit the pocketbooks of Lost Vape customers.

To surmise, the Lyra is very portable that is powerful enough for all-day vaping, while the features of the pod make refilling and coil replacement fast and straightforward.

What is In The Lyra 20W Kit?

The Lyra starter kit comes with:

  • the device,
  • two coils,
  • a USB cable,
  • a lanyard,
  • a warranty card,
  • a user manual.

The user manual is well written, spelling out all of the necessary information in plain detail. The warranty for the vape is good for 90 days.

The Lyra’s Internal Building Quality and Design

The frame for the vape is made from zinc alloy, so it is durable as long as it is not handled carelessly. The Lyra pod is made out of PCTG plastic, which is durable and resistant to heat and stress.

Lost Vape Lyra Battery Life

Battery life for the Lyra is impressive, as well. The device is powered by a 1,000 mah battery that can last all day and charges fairly quickly. It is built into the pod mod, and it is recharged via a USB port. The Lyra also has lights that indicate the power levels.

The robust battery increases the portability of the Lyra beyond that of similar devices. While this device does have a good battery, it does not have passthrough charging.

But, it only takes an hour and a half to fully charge, so the wait is not that long.

Lost Vape Lyra Coils and Pod

There is a lot to like about the pod and its 0.6 mesh and 1.2-ohm coils. The best feature of the pod is that it is easy to refill.

There are two fill ports covered by a rubber stopper that pops off and gives access to the juice well. The flavor coming out of the pod and coil is wholesome and tasty, so there are no complaints there.

That being said, there are also some things about the pod that needs to be improved.

VD Lost Vape Lyra Pod with Coil

  • Firstly, it is tough to remove the mouthpiece. There are plastic tabs on either side of it that have to be pressed down to take it off.
  • Pressing them down is troublesome, and at times it feels like you are fighting with the vape to take the top off the pod.
  • There is also some leaking that causes e-juice to accumulate between the pod and the rest of the device.

How Long Does a Lost Vape Pod Last?

The pod is made out of PCTG plastic, so they should last quite a while. As earlier stated, they are heat and stress-resistant, so it will be a long time before they need to be replaced.

How Do I Change the Coil in My Lost Vape Lyra?

The coils go in and out of the cartridge without trouble. Remove the mouthpiece and screw them in and out whenever it is time to replace them.

How to Use the Lost Vape Lyra

  1. The first thing to do is to charge the pod mod if it is not already fully powered.
  2. Once the device is charged, remove the pod and take off the mouthpiece.
  3. The pod will arrive already preloaded with a coil, so it will have to be screwed out.
  4. Once the coil is out of the pod, remove the rubber plug that covers the fill ports,
  5. tilt the pod entirely on its side, and then fill it up with a syringe or nosed e-juice bottle.
  6. When the pod is refilled, put it back together and place it onto the mod. Each coil has three power modes.
    • The 0.6-ohm mesh coil vapes at 16, 18, and 20 watts,
    • while the 1.2-ohm coil vapes at 8, 9, and 10 watts.
  7. Press the firing button three times in rapid succession to cycle between the power settings.

To check the power level of the device, press the firing button once.

  • Green indicates that the power level is at 100 to 65 percent.
  • Blue means that it is 65 to 15 percent,
  • red means that the Lyra needs to be recharged.

How To Use Lyra Pod Kit

To vape the Lyra, hold down the firing button and inhale. As written previously, the flavor of this vape is outstanding, and so far, there have been no issues with e-juice spitting into the mouth.

Similar Pod Mods on The Market

Lyra Pod Mod vs. Smok Nord Kit

The Lyra and the Smok Nord are similar vapes that have a lot of the same characteristics, such as portability and outstanding batteries.

VD Smok Nord USB

However, the Lyra was a slightly more extensive wattage range than the Smok Nord’s 10 to 15 watts. On the other hand, the Smok Nord has a larger 1,100 mah battery, and refilling is easier because the mouthpiece does not have to be removed. It also can hold up to 3ml of e-juice as opposed to the Lyra’s 2 ml.

Lyra Pod Mod 20W vs. Caliburn 11 Watt Pod Kit System

The Caliburn 11W is not as powerful a device as the Lyra, going up to 11 watts, and its 520 mah battery does not last as long as the Lyra’s.

Uwell Caliburn button

While the battery is not as large, it recharges faster than the Lyra’s, which is not surprising considering it has a smaller battery. Another thing going for the Caliburn is that their pod mod has passthrough charging while the Lyra does not.

Positives and Negatives

The Positives

  • Great flavor
  • Three power adjustment levels
  • Good battery life
  • Impressive coil design
  • Comes with lanyard so it won’t get lost

The Negatives

  • Issues with leaking
  • The mouthpiece is hard to remove

Last Words on the Lost Vape Lyra 20W Kit

The Lyra vape kit has a lot of great features that make it great for users who want an AIO pod that is portable, long-lasting, and easy to use. Its small size and big battery mean that it can be taken anywhere, and the engineering behind the pod and the coils greatly simplifies usage. And, the flavor generated by this device cannot be beaten.

But, there is some room for improvement. The most glaring flaw is the mouthpiece and the tabs that have to be pressed down to remove it.

If Lost Vape makes a newer version of this device, they should consider replacing them with magnets or doing something else to make it easier to remove. The issues with leaking also are a big con. Yes, a lot of mods leak, but we are still not happy about it.

The bottom line is that this is a good pod mod that is easy to use, but it would be easier to use if Lost Vape would fix the issues with the mouthpiece and do something about the leaking pod.

My way of understanding the significance of vaping came not only through the disruption of smoking but its effects on society as a whole. Now I bring people to vaping and bring vaping to people. I love using new gear, writing in-depth reviews and generally nerding out about vaping to like-minded people.
