The INVCTech Palace S is a reusable and rechargeable pod mod with a removable coil-style pod and an internal 1400mAh battery. The Palace S is designed for both MTL and DL vaping since it has two style coil heads in the kit.

It also comes with two removable drip tips, each of which is made for either mouth-to-lung or direct-lung. The device has a sleek, shiny zinc-alloy exterior and one single power button. The button activates the device, but it is draw-activated, so you do not need to press it to make vapor.

A Closer Look at the INVCTech Palace S

invctech palace s review

The Palace S from INVC is a slim, portable device with many advanced features. The device combines an internal 1400mAh battery with a reusable 4ml pod that uses removable coils. The battery works on direct-voltage output depending on the resistance of the coil installed, but it can output up to 40W of power.

The Palace S does have variable voltage and uses a combination of a 0.49″ OLED on the base of the battery and a thin, rocker-style button to adjust the settings. In addition, there is a unique airflow control style on the pods that uses a sliding door to control the airflow. The door hides or reveals a series of mesh-style openings that can increase or decrease the airflow into the liquid chamber.

The pod can hold up to 4ml of e-juice and has a top fill method covered by a small silicone tab. The drip tip and coils are both removable; the drip tip from the top and the coil from the bottom. The pod is made from sturdy plastic, with two magnetic contacts on the bottom to connect with the battery. The battery takes Type-C charging, so the recharging time is super-fast and takes only about an hour.

Kit Contents

The Palace S kit includes two coils and drip tips, each designed for either MTL or DL vaping. A handy lanyard is also included in the kit to make it easier to carry with you.

  • 1 x INVCTech Palace S battery
  • 1 x Palace S pod
  • 1 x MTL drip tip
  • 1 x DL drip tip
  • 1 x 0.3ohm Mesh coil
  • 1 x 1.0ohm Mesh coil
  • 1 x Type-C cable
  • 1 x Lanyard

How It Looks and Feels

The INVCTech Palace S has a minimal profile that makes it not only easy to use but portable, lightweight, and durable. The Palace S has a 104mm height, so it is large, but it has a pentagonal shape and is comfortable to grip and hold. The device has a single button, so it is not difficult to use or control since the adjustment button is very straightforward.

The Palace S pod kit has a zinc-alloy exterior that is durable but scratches easily. The paint job comes in several colors, but the darker ones would be a better choice than the lighter ones since the scratches are more apparent. Overall, the build quality is good, and the bottom OLED screen is well-placed since it does not distract from the device’s general aesthetic.

How Long Does the Battery/Pod Last?

The INVCTech Palace S includes a 4ml e-juice pod with both removable drip tips and coils since the kit contains both. The pod itself is the shape of the battery section, so it fits perfectly. The pod and battery section connects via two magnets on the pod’s base and remains secure.

The Palace S pod is reusable, but the coils are not. The kit includes an MTL (1.0ohm) and a DL (0.8ohm), both of which are mesh-style coils that sync up with the mesh-style airflow control the pods use. The design of the airflow control mechanism is interesting since it uses a small, retractable door that you can slide open or close to control the airflow.

The coils can last from a week to nine days, depending on the e-juice used and the wattage you vape. The battery capacity for the device is 1400mAh, and the maximum output is 45W, which is not high enough to drain the battery that fast, but it can run out quickly if you’re a heavy vaper.

The battery has variable voltage, so you can vape at a lower power output to conserve battery power. Using the 1.0ohm coil means you can vape at half the maximum voltage – like the recommended 20W maximum – and still get tasty, satisfying clouds without draining the battery.

Getting Started

The Palace S is simple to use and requires very little maintenance or assembly. You do have to attach a coil and appropriate drip tip to the pod, but that is about it regarding putting things together. The coil and drip tip snap easily into place, and the o-rings underneath both drip tips are thick and sturdy.

The coil installation is also easy since the opening on the bottom matches perfectly with the coil, so there is no incorrect way to install the coil. The power button uses a straight-forward five-clicks-on, five-clicks-off mechanism to activate or turn off the battery.

The small adjustment button on the bottom lets you adjust the wattage up or down, and there are no other menu options to use with the screen.

Competing Devices

INVCTech Palace S vs. VOOPOO Argus

voopoo argus review

The VooPoo Argus is an MTL-based vape with an internal 800mAh battery and a refillable 2ml pod. The Argus features a stylish and durable zinc-alloy/leather blend on its exterior and uses a 0.69″ LED for users to control the vape’s settings, which is much bigger than the small control panel on the INVCTech.

The vape can output up to 20W, much less than the 45W maximum of the Palace S, even though the Argus also supports MTL and DL vaping.

INVCTech Palace S vs. GeekVape Aegis Boost

Geekvape Aegis Boost Review

The GeekVape Aegis Boost is a versatile device that uses a single 18650 battery as its power source. The Boost Plus is a 40W maximum device with variable wattage control and supports either a traditional e-juice tank, pod, or an RBA, all available for use with the Boost but sold separately, except the pod.

The device also carries on the legacy of all GeekVape mods with its IP67-rated exterior, which GeekVape has taken to calling Tri-Proof since it offers three levels of protection, waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof, so it is much more durable than the simple, plastic Palace S.

INVCTech Palace S Specifications

Pros&Cons

The Positives

  • Supports both MTL and DL vaping
  • Two coils and two drip tips
  • Long-lasting battery
  • Variable wattage device
  • Good vapor and flavor balance

The Negatives

  • Only one pod in the kit

Conclusion: INVCTech Palace S Review: A Versatile, MTL and DL Vape

Have you tried variable voltage pods? Do you enjoy them or prefer something with no controls, settings, etc.? Let us know in the comments section below.

The INVCTech Palace S is a versatile device that lets users choose their preferred wattage while giving them many coil and drip tip options. The various options to choose from are part of the pod mod’s overall design since it was made to please both MTL and DL vapers. As it can perform at an MTL and DL level, the Palace S is an excellent option for people who want to change between styles rather than be stuck with one.

The pod option inside the kit changes between coils and drip tips, so you only need one pod. But there is no backup pod in the kit, so you must be careful or order another pod as a backup.

The small OLED on the base of the device is well-placed, but it has no other purpose than to change the wattage and check the battery level, so even though it gives users the option to change the wattage, it seems a little redundant.
