iJoy Luna 2 Pod Mod Review
This vape is a compact and ergonomically designed 16W vape made from aluminum. It is available in four colors, and it comes with a 650mah battery capable of lasting most of the day. Additionally, it has a chipset that makes the mod very responsive.
This mod is ideal for people who want something simple, easy to use, and easy to carry around. In addition to the vape, the pod has a well-designed disposable coil, airflow, and juice capacity.
The Difference Between the iJoy Luna 2 and Original Luna Kit
The iJoy Luna 2 is a much better device than the original Luna. It is not that the Luna is a bad device, but the second model in a series is usually better because the designers know what to do after hearing customer feedback.
The Luna 2 has a higher capacity pod and a lower resistance coil. The lower resistance coil is not necessarily better because the Luna’s 1.1 ohm pod is very good for 50/50 vegetable glycerin to propylene glycol liquids.
One area everyone can agree is an improvement is the battery. The Luna 2 has a 650mah battery while its predecessor has a 350 mah battery. The larger battery in the Luna 2 is necessary because it puts out 16 watts and the Luna only 11.
Neither of these vapes produce a lot of vapor. But the newer model produces slightly more vapor because it has a lower wattage coil and puts out more wattage.
Neither of these devices have power modes. They are both wattage mods.
- Short Circuit Protection
- Low Power Alert
Inside the iJoy Luna 2 Pod Kit
- One Mod
- One Disposable Cart
- Type-C Cable
- Warranty Card
The only negative thing to say about the contents of the kit is that there is only one cart with a 0.8 ohm mesh coil. There is nothing wrong with the coil itself, but a 1.2 ohm cart would have been an excellent addition to the kit.
Internal Building Quality and Design
The build quality is pretty good for a vape mod. It is made of aluminum alloy so that it will withstand the occasional accident. Additionally, the connection between the cart and the vape is strong, and it is not likely to separate accidentally.
As for the design, it looks much better than the original. The original version has a boxy and lumpy appearance, but the Luna 2 looks more elegant.
Luna 2 Pod Battery
As earlier stated, the Luna 2 is powered by a 650mah fast charging battery that is fully charged in under an hour. Also, the 650mah battery should last a day, depending on how often it is vaped.
Battery Indicator Light
A small light on the mod indicates the battery’s status.
- Green means the battery is fully charged
- Blue is halfway charged
- Red means it needs to be fully charged.
iJoy Luna 2 Pod
The pod holds 3 ml of liquid, and it is refilled from the side. Inside, there is a 0.8 ohm mesh coil that produces excellent flavor. The side refilling slot is a nice feature because so many pods and tanks are filled from the bottom, and they tend to leak. There is no problem with these pods leaking.
Airflow comes up from the bottom from two holes drilled into the side of the vape. It is pretty solid, providing a satisfactory mouth-to-lung hit.
One of the problems is that it can be hard to monitor the juice levels. The plastic is very dark, so it is tough to know whether the pod is empty when the liquid levels get very low. Other than that, the pod is very well designed and works the way a pod should.
One thing everyone should know is that these pods are disposable. Users will not be able to replace the coil inside.
How Long Do Luna 2 Pod Coils Last?
The mesh coils last for 20 to 30 ml if they are properly primed. That is at least a week’s worth of vaping for people who use the device moderately to heavily. Maybe two weeks or longer for some people.
0.8 ohm mesh coils are not for producing clouds; they are for flavor, so users should use 50/50 liquids, which are for producing flavor. While it is possible to use liquids with a higher amount of vegetable glycerin, there is no point because the coils will not get hot enough to produce a satisfactorily large cloud.
How to Use the iJoy Luna 2 Pod Mod
Using this mod is very easy. This step-by-step guide says all you need to know about using it:
- Remove the pod and fill it through the side refilling slot
- After filling or refilling, wait five to ten minutes for the pod to absorb the juice to avoid burn and dry hits. Doing this will ensure that the pod lasts as long as possible.
- When the pod is primed, inhale on the mouthpiece and enjoy the vape.
iJoy Luna 2 vs. Uwell Caliburn A2 Pod
The Uwell Caliburn is a slightly better mod than the Luna 2. For one, it comes with two coils instead of one. Granted, both coils are 0.9 ohm, and one should have been higher or lower on the resistance scale, but at least there are two pods.
Another feature in the Uwell Caliburn A2’s juice viewing window, which makes it slightly easier to monitor juice levels. However, the Luna 2 has a higher juice capacity, making it more convenient in that respect.
iJoy Luna 2 vs. JustFog MiniFit Max Pod
The MiniFit Max has some good features that make it worth choosing. For one, it has a 1.6 ohm coil that is very good for maximizing flavor. However, it has a bulkier design than the Luna 2, and the Luna 2 has more juice capacity.
Nevertheless, both these devices compare with one another very well and are both worth considering as a future vape.

Final Thoughts About the iJoy Luna 2 Pod Mod
The iJoy Luna 2 pod mod is a great vape, but there is not anything about it that makes it stand out. There are dozens of similar devices out there, so it is not easy to understand what makes this vape unique.
As for cons, there is not much to fault with this vape, except that the starter kit should have come with an extra pod, and something should be done to make the liquid level easier to see.
On the other side of the coil, it is portable, comfortable, and easy to use, and not to mention flavorful. Everything a vape mod should be.
Do you think iJoy should have added some more features to make this vape stand out, or did they get everything right? If you have any thoughts about this vape and want to share them, feel free to post your comments below.
