VaporFi Rebel II: How It Looks

Design

vaporfi rebel II starter kit review

Available in a stainless steel finish, the Rebel II has an industrial look to it that doesn’t look cheap. It has a telescopic tube body and is able to accommodate different battery sizes. The body also has an LED screen that displays various settings and three buttons: one firing button and two for voltage adjustment. The tank matches the device, as well, fitting seamlessly. It has an airflow control dial near the base and an atomizer head that’s capable of adjusting juice flow.

Build Quality

Made from steel, the Rebel II is tough. It can withstand rough handling and abuse and still function perfectly. Solidly built and with threads that screw on smoothly, the Rebel II is a quality, precision-made instrument. There is some heft to it, especially with a battery inside, but this only reinforces its overall quality build.

What’s in the Box

With every purchase of the VaporFi Rebel II Starter Kit, users will get one telescopic variable voltage vaporizer, one rechargeable high capacity battery, one rechargeable standard capacity battery, one Rebel Tank with dual coil and juice flow control head, one wall charger, and a user manual.

The Rebel II Vaping

Usability

Vapers, who are used to vape pens and other single power devices, will find the Rebel II a bit confusing to use at first. The added functions are all simple to use, so given time, it will soon be second nature.

Batteries are charged separately and inserting them into the unit is a simple matter of unscrewing the tube. The tank is filled by removing the glass part and pouring the e-liquid in. Once filled, it is screwed back on and it is ready to vape.

When first activating the device, it’s best to start with a low voltage setting, working your way up until the perfect vape setting is achieved. The same goes for airflow; start with just one hole and then tweak until it’s perfect.

It takes some trial and error to get the settings right, but once achieved; users are guaranteed a perfect vape every time.

Vapor Production and Performance

The vapor quality and flavor of the Rebel II is dependent on the user’s preference. Higher voltage means more vapor, while a tight airflow means more flavor. Conversely, lower voltages produce less vapor but more flavor, while a looser airflow means more vapor. It’s up to the user to experiment and find what works for them.

Overall performance, from the device itself to the tank, is superb. Users get to control almost every aspect of the device’s performance and customize it according to taste. The Rebel II is definitely for users serious about their vape experience.

Complete features of the Rebel II (from the VaporFi website):

  • Adjustable from 3.0-6.0 Volts in 0.1 Volt increments.
  • Adjustable power from 3.0-15.0 Watts in 0.5 increments
  • Built-in three digit display allows you to visually adjust voltage and wattage settings.
  • Works with one 18650 battery or one 18350 high-power battery.
  • Reverse battery protection.
  • 510 and Ego thread compatible.
  • Rebel II PCB allows up to 4 AMPS of output.
  • Adjustable juice flow atomizer.

Battery Life and Atomizers

The batteries that come with the kit come in two sizes: a 2800mAh high capacity battery and a smaller 750mAh standard capacity battery. The battery life of the 2800mAh is superb, easily lasting more than a day. The smaller battery, on the other hand, may give shorter vape times, but is perfect for users who wish to handle a shorter device. Since they are removable, users can charge one while using the other.

The Rebel Tank is similar to the Aspire Nautilus (considered to be one of the best tanks today). With its airflow control and replaceable atomizer coils, users can customize its vapor production and flavor. It is also very easy to refill and maintain, adding to its overall value.

In Addition

The VaporFi Rebel II Kit is a very capable device suited for advanced users. It has the power, versatility, and complete customization any experienced vaper relishes in an e-cigarette.

Its price may be a little high, but the overall performance is worth it. In other devices, once the battery dies, you throw the whole unit away. With the Rebel II, users just purchase fresh batteries and it performs like new again. In the long run, the added cost versus the slew of features and customization make it cheaper than buying a new vape pen or eGo-style unit every year (in some cases, every six months). Since the Rebel II is built solidly, you can expect it to last for years.

Users who are looking for advanced customization, power, and performance in a premium device built to last can’t go wrong with the Rebel II.

My way of understanding the significance of vaping came not only through the disruption of smoking but its effects on society as a whole. Now I bring people to vaping and bring vaping to people. I love using new gear, writing in-depth reviews and generally nerding out about vaping to like-minded people.
