Sigelei MT is a great mod for those that want to show the world they vape and are not interested in discreet stealth vaping. The prominent LED lights make this box mod a great conversation starter. As do the room filling plumes it produces!

Ultra modern aesthetics aside, the Sigelei is a reliable and accurate mod for vapers looking to get the most out of their box mod. The stainless steel and a zinc alloy build of this device is sturdy with no battery rattle and buttons that engage smoothly. The chipset is powerful and gives users features such as preheat settings, the ability to adjust wattage, temperature control, TCR and bypass modes. Interestingly, the outer shell is see-through so the circuitry is visible allowing a peek into the inner working of a box mod.

Features of the Sigelei XT 220W

The top of the mod features a 510 threaded and gold plated pin. It is 28mm wide but can handle larger atomizers, just with some overhang. On the front of the mod is the OLED screen, the plus/minus buttons to scroll through the menu and the unique looking fire button. The screen shows resistance, applied voltage, locked or unlocked symbol, wattage/temperature, a voltage meter per battery (there are two 18650), puff counter and a battery meter.

Its chipset is proprietary and can range from 10 to 220W, 0.05 to 3.0 Ohms and a max voltage of 7.5V. For coils, it supports Ni200, titanium and stainless steel 316 and 317. With 5 TCR presets, temperature can also be adjusted in 10 degree implements from 200 to 570°F.

How does the Sigelei XT 220W vape?

Vapor production is really high. Cloud chasers can blow some huge plumes with either an RDA or RTA tank. Having such a range of settings can really help nail that sweet spot that is personal for everybody. Sub Ohm vaping is excellent and better than many of the high wattage mods out there.

Battery length is also good considering the power necessary to run in high wattage mode. Chain vaping aside, the batteries generally can last a full day between charges.

Is the Sigelei MT 220W safe to use?

The Sigelei MT is very safe to use. As long as the user keeps the mod clean and maintained it will not give any problems barring a manufacturing defect. Always make sure that the coil connection is solid with the pin connecting properly.

The pin should be cleaned regularly, also, but bear in mind that the gold plated pin in the Sigelei is very durable and does not get easily dirty. Make sure to always use good quality batteries from a reputable brand, and never use them if they appear damaged. Using common sense and adhering to best practices while vaping will keep the mod in good working order and very safe.

How does Sigelei MT compare to the competition?

Vaporesso Revenger Mod – Not a bad mod, but not very intuitive to use the menu settings. That and a small gap between the atomizer and the mod are things to keep in mind.

Tesla Punk Mod – Steampunk fans will love the look of this mod, but temperature control is not very accurate.

Is the Sigelei MT worth it?

Admittedly the general look of the mod is not for everybody. It should be noted, however that the LED lights can be turned off if they are too distracting.

This is a great mod for the intermediate vaper looking to get more control over their vape without it being overly complicated. If the aesthetics work, then there is no downside to owning this mod.

Hi Carl, thanks for writing in and thanks for your question. The Sigelei MT 220 is compatible with a lot of different coils. It’s a temperature control device so it can take nickel, titanium, and stainless steel. It has a wattage range of up to 220W so you can use rebuildable atomizers with different resistances, but it’s lowest Ohm rating is for 0.05ohms. The MT 220 is also 510-threaded so you can attach of variety of tanks to it. The best type of pre-wrapped coil to use with this mod would be high-wattage, mesh-style, triple or even quadruple coils in wattage mode to get the most out of the power output. Hope this helps. Feel free to write again if you have any more questions. Happy vaping!
