The GeekVape Wenax Stylus kit is a brand-new creation from GeekVape that offers users an internal 1100mAh battery with three different voltage settings. The Wenax Stylus kit is supposed to function as a portable, refillable pod system as it uses a removable 2ml e-juice pod and comes with several different coil types. The pods allow for coil interchanging and can be press-fitted into the bottom of the pod. The Stylus vape also has a unique, compact shape that makes it perfect for portable vaping. Its build features a cutting-edge aluminum alloy that is both durable and lightweight. The device also has two firing modes. Users can opt for draw-activated operation or choose knob-activated vaping. The vape is also unique for its three power levels to accommodate different vaping styles and preferences.

A Closer Look at the GeekVape Wenax Stylus

The new Wenax Stylus vape kit is remarkably compact, especially considering its many features like the variable voltage settings, which we’ll talk about later. The Wenax Stylus does have the size of a stylus pen, although its shape is much thicker as it measures almost 20mm in width. But still, it measures a little over 100mm in length, which is comparable to other pod devices in its class like the Uwell Caliburn or Vaporesso XROS.

GeekVape Wenax Stylus Colors

Another advantage of the Wenax is its lightweight frame. It is cylindrical in shape, and it fits easily in hand. There is a single operating knob on the bottom of the device that features the GeekVape logo. It is perfectly positioned so users can easily reach for it if they need to change their settings.

They can also choose to switch from button-activation to draw-activation or vice-versa if they want. Its location also gives the vape a clean, uncluttered look like the rest of the exterior is featureless and only contains the “Stylus” logo, the USB port, and two airflow holes on either side. The device also uses LED lights as battery indicators, and they flash different colors to signify different things.

Finishing out the description, the Wenax Stylus is topped off with a semi-transparent, plastic pod at the top that has a protruding mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is Delrin, and there is a replacement in the kit. The pod is refillable and uses a side-fill port that is stopped by a silicone stopper that is attached to the pod. The pods use removable coils so users can replace them with different styles of coils using a special tool included in the kit.

What’s In The Box

The GeekVape Wenax Stylus does not require that much maintenance, even though it does come outfitted with several interesting accessories in its kit.

GeekVape Wenax Stylus Starter Kit

  • One x Geekvape Wenax Stylus
  • One x 0.6ohm G-Coil Pod
  • One x 1.2ohm G-Coil Pod
  • One x Delrin Drip Tip
  • One x Coil Tool
  • One x USB Cable
  • One x User Manual

The Look and Feel

The GeekVape Wenax Stylus is very small. The vape is so small that it could almost disappear in a closed hand. The entire vape is made from a lightweight aluminum alloy, but the exterior is painted and comes in several different colors. All of them are solid, so there are no patterns or other designs. But it doesn’t need those.

It has a unique shape, and it is very ergonomic. The power/firing knob on the bottom of the vape has a nice, clicky quality, and it is easily reachable with either hand. Even better, the device can work on draw-activation, so users do not even need to reach for the knob if they don’t want to.

The pods fit nicely in the pod bay, and inside the bay there are two copper contacts to connect with the 1100mah battery. There are a total of four air holes on either side of the battery that users can cover or leave open to change the draw style, but no matter how they were used, they didn’t seem to alter the vapor or draw quality in a significant way.

Battery Life

The Wenax Stylus kit features an internal 1100mAh battery that comes with several safety features like overheat protection and a low battery indicator. It also does not fire if there is no atomizer detected. The other interesting feature-loaded onto the battery is the choice of three different power levels.

GeekVape Wenax Stylus Battery

The power levels range from:

  • 3.4V (White LED)
  • 3.6V (Blue LED)
  • 3.7V (Green LED)

Users can switch between the three different levels by clicking the power knob three times fast. The voltage levels are par with the battery capacity and these types of batteries. The auto-draw or knob-activation does not require any knob pressing. Users can simply either take a draw or press the knob.

The battery supports 1A charging, and because of its size, it takes only about an hour to charge. The battery life depends on usage and at what power level, as well as which coil is installed into the pod. The 1.2ohm coil requires less power than the 0.6ohm coil, but users can play around with the power levels to find the right combination.

When users vape with draw-activation, the battery also outputs less power than when it is knob-activated. The battery outputs about 11W when auto-activated and its full amount (around 16W) when used with knob-activation.

The Wenax Stylus Pods

There is only one 2ml e-juice pod included in the kit. There are two coil options available that are aimed at either mouth-to-lung (1.2ohms) or direct-lung vaping (0.6ohms). Users can switch in between the two by removing them from the pod with the special tool included in the kit. Vapers familiar with other GeekVape devices like the Aegis pod devices will recognize this tool as it also comes with those devices.

The tool does help ensure a secure fit between the coil and the pod, and it is easily accessible. But sometimes, the fit is too tight, and it can be hard to remove the coil, even with the tool. The fill port is conveniently placed on the side of the pod, and it is exposed when the silicone tab is removed, but that too is often a little difficult to remove.

The drip tip on the pod is a standard Delrin 510 that provides good airflow for mouth-to-lung, as well as for direct-lung vaping. But there is another option that is much narrower and taller for users who prefer a tighter draw and more restricted airflow. The pod itself makes a good connection with the battery section, and the liquid section remains elevated so users can check their juice levels with ease.

Performance and Vapor Quality

The Stylus kit has excellent performance and usability. The vape is very simple to set up and get going, and the resulting vapor is very high-quality. Probably the best features of the device are the interchangeable coils, as well as the different voltage levels. They both give users a wide range of options to choose from so they can find their ideal vaping style.

GeekVape Wenax Stylus Review

Using the 1.2ohm Kanthal and cotton coil delivers a satisfying mouth-to-lung experience. The vapor is smooth and plentiful, and the different voltage levels give users a level of customization that is not possible with many pod systems. The voltage levels also differ with each coil, and the battery will adapt its power levels depending on the coil installed.

The 0.6ohm coil (also a Kanthal and cotton blend) does deliver a greater volume of vapor, especially with the mouth-to-lung drip tip, but using the longer drip tip gives a great direct-lung experience, especially when the voltage is at its highest setting.

The Competition

Uwell Caliburn G

The Caliburn G kit is a successor to all the previous Caliburn pod devices from Uwell. The G version comes with a 2ml pod, a 0.8ohm Meshed coil, and an internal 680mAh. It also has dual functionality in terms of being draw-activated and button-activated.

Uwell Caliburn G colors

The Caliburn G features a sleek, stylish zinc alloy exterior with ridges all along its 108mm length. The Caliburn G does not have different voltage settings, but it can output a maximum of 15w, which is slightly less than the 16W maximum for the Wenax Stylus

GeekVape Wenax C1

The GeekVape Wenax C1 kit is a smaller version of the Stylus, but it also has a lot in common with its big brother. The Wenax C1, despite its reduced dimensions, also features three adjustable power levels, a dual-firing style (draw or knob activation), and comes with a 3ml pod that can take any of the G-Series coils similar to the ones that come with the Stylus.

The Wenax C1 even surpasses its brother vape with a 20W maximum power output. The Wenax C1, however, measures only 86mm in length and features a reduced capacity 950mAh battery.

The GeekVape Wenax Stylus kit represents a new direction for the fabled GeekVape. After making their name with the instantly recognizable and indestructible Aegis models, which span every category from squonker to pod device, they have started to branch out and experiment with new designs.

The Wenax Stylus vape departs from its usual designs, but it still embodies the quality and innovation that vapers have come to associate with the brand. The device is beautifully designed, ergonomic and intuitive. It gives users a lot of versatility thanks to its three-tiered power settings, as well as the two different coil types included in each kit.

There are also two different-style drip tips so users can experiment to find their preferred setup. The vapor quality is equally impressive, and its fast charging and indicator lights offer a lot of communication between the device and user.
